He also sort of kidnaps Raquel Welch. The part of the book that had me rolling was when he called the University of Nebraska Football team a bunch of Cornshuckin Jack-Offs.

The Bear fixed his grades. Forest probably never even attended a class.

Let's be fair, he did go to Bama and his drill sergeant said he was cut out for OCS. So there is a strong case for full on retard.

Between Greenville, AL and Camden, AL, along AL Hwy 10, there is a small town called Forest Home. Note the spelling. My grandparents live in western Alabama in another small town on Hwy 10, and as kids we lived in Dothan so that was the way we would go when going to visit them. Shortly after my older sis got her license, for some reason just the two of us were taking a trip over there. This would have been in 95 or 96, so Forrest (again, note the spelling) Gump had been out a year or two. We came upon a road sign pointing to Forest Home. My sister slowed down and turned down the road, and I asked where she was going. She said she wanted to see where Forrest Gump grew up. I had to explain to her that was the town's name, not the boyhood home of Gump. And then how the town of Greenbow was the one in the movie, and it was also fictional.

I had to laugh watching Gump the other night.....

On Forrest and Jennys wedding day, when Jenny walks out of the house in her wedding gown, about to walk down the aisle....Forrest looks at her for like a split second....then sees Lt. Dan coming in the distance....and leaves Jenny to go see Lt. Dan.

Arent you supposed to be in awe when you see your wife in her wedding gown? Yet he cared more about Lt Dan.

I think there may have been more going on with Forrest and Lt. Dan than we know...

Yeah, that Lt. Dan and Forrest were true friends. LT Dan cared for Forrest. Jenny was a two timing back stabbing coke whore who used Forrest for his money and affection. Do not succumb to the trickery of Jenny Gump. She was a dime store hooker and she always will be.

Truth.

This movie does a great job of dispelling the myth that you'll find a great woman behind every great man.

Every man has acted like a full on retard in the presence of that ONE woman. But the movie shows pretty clearly that a man's greatness in life can be achieved without obtaining the love of some life sucking bitch.

Forrest Gump got the aids from Jen-nay. Why do you think there was never a sequel? Because Forrest died an hour after the feather finally fell down at movie's end.
