Man, the board was like this when it first started but we learned to police ourselves a bit, then we had a good long period of real understanding and conversation. Let's not go back to the snobbery.

We should be supportive of everyone's views on film, particularly to have good well rounded discussions, not dismissive for x, y, or z reason.

just watch it

My memory is sometimes a little hazy, so please forgive me if I'm mistaken, but wasn't it YOU who told me that Batman v. Superman was an objectively bad film, and that any defense of it was outright fanboyism?

Yes, your memory is hazy. I said BvS is an objectively bad film. No I did not say any defense of it is invalid or "fanboyism." I hate that word and don't use it to describe anyone seriously. That's usually the call when people enjoy MCU films, btw.

Considering other movies I've seen outside of the Godfather series, the third movie is watchable and I'm a firm believer in you need to see it at least once to see the "conclusion" to the trilogy. Just go in with low expectations because it's nowhere near as good as the first two.

I'm the opposite. I'm would recommend to people to not watch the third movie, not because it doesn't measure up to the first two, but rather because of the story itself. I think the story is worse for going as far as it did. I think any fictional story is far better ending in a more ambiguous state (there is still an untold story beyond the end of the book, movie, or series).

What critique?
I didn’t say anything about the movie at all.

I understand the definition of flawless. Your response makes you sound like some sort of pseudo intellectual repeating things you’ve heard without the ability to explain it.

I’m not a movie buff and don’t care to be.

it was a joke ... lighten up ...

notice to the movie board: i in no way feel my intellect is superior to tigertown ... his is assuredly ten times my own, and the world of anonymous internet posters should acknowledge such ... thank you.

It’s nice of you to proclaim my intellectual superiority, but if you read what I posted, I never made such a statement.

Still looking for what a “flawless movie” is. It reminds me of the BS descriptions of a good painting, wine or bourbon.

Watched the first one yesterday. It was alright. I don’t understand what makes it so special, though.
