Maybe it's based on source material that I am unaware of, but it is funny to me that it's an interracial couple.
I am sure I'll check this out if nothing more than to see how true they made it to the original and because I like that one so much. But I have a feeling this will be shite.
And yeah, he doesn't look like a musician at all; he looks more like someone about to steal my catalytic converter.

The problem here is twofold. The original movie was superbly directed by Proyas, and he damn near made the comic directly into a movie. It's one of the most honest adaptations I've ever seen.
This movie does not need a remake. As stupid as it is to remake a great movie that was an accurate adaptation, it's even stupider to do so by making the new one look different from both that original movie as well as THE ORIGINAL SOURCE MATERIAL. The worst part about adapting stories from the comic book medium is that the characters all have a specifically designed look to them, since they are all drawn, shaded and most of the time colored. With books at least they can hide behind some obscurities that can happen on the written page, but dammit everyone knows who the Crow is due to being fully DRAWN OUT.
