"Merry Christmas kid"
"Is it a Choo-Choo train?"
"No it's 5 pounds of Veal."
"But Daddy, I asked Santa for a Choo-Choo."
"Well then go out a get a job and buy a Choo-Choo!"
"Ah, Earl... he's only 4 years old."
"All day long I listen to people give excuses why they can't work, my back hurts, my legs ache... I'm only 4!"
Scrooged is so great. Merry Christmas.

Hey, back off pal.
That may work with the chicks, but not with me

His ending monologue had to be completely off the cuff and highly cocaine fueled. It's one of the weirdest and best moments in any Christmas movie. Saw this with my family as a kid and still watch it every year.

Not pictured from that scene are obviously John Murray (playing James Cross) and Wendie Malick (playing his wife, Wendie).
So, the guests at the party of James and Wendie are played by: Mitch Glazer (Murray's writing/production partner who wrote the script for Scrooged. At that time, married to Wendie Malick IRL - would divorce the next year and marry Kelly Lynch in 1992), Lauri Kempson, Susan Isaacs and Joel Murray (the 4th Murray brother to appear in this film, although the relationship of his character to James or Frank Cross is unclear, he does not appear to be playing their brother in the film).
This appears to be Lauri Kempson's (the one that superficially resembles Anna Gunn, seated next to Mitch Glazer) only feature film credit. FTR, Anna Gunn would have been about 19 to 20 when Scrooged filmed and was at the theater department of Northwestern at the time of filming.

Don't know about the coke but it was completely ad-libbed. Also the bit where he trips and falls while leaving the restaurant was an accident that was left in. So was the Bill Lambeier elbow he gives to Alfie Woodard when he jumps back from the production ghost of Christmas future in the elevator.

My second favorite, close behind Christmas Vacation.
Bill Murray in prime form…

I remember at that time Murray saying that he never wanted to work with Carol Kane again. Which is too bad because their antagonism on screen was pretty entertaining.

It's still amazes me that he took off four years directly after 1984 and was still able to come back and be the biggest comedy star in comedy in that late 80s-early 90s run he had.
I guess The Razor's Edge really made gum just want to go live in Paris, but as hot as he got after Ghostbusters, most agents and stars would have killed for that kind of juice.

If I recall correctly, The Razor's Edge completely bombed and it made Bill really really nervous about being a leading actor in a film again, so he took some time off

she pulled his lip down and accidentally tore the inner lining of his mouth which caused a production delay
