Best movie I've seen this year. Outstanding dialogue, cinematography, plot, acting, and pacing.

It was barely advertised.

On a $12M budget 26M isn't "poor", but yes in comparison to the other choices out there this year, the general public is clueless

It wide realease was at 900 theaters. Only because it did well off that, it expanded to 1500 theaters at its peak. 1500 theaters is nothing. Wide releases these days are 3000-3500 theaters minimum.

It made 27 million on a 12 million dollar budget. Thats almost 2 1/2 times the budget. It was still averaging over $1000 a theater in its 12th week.

It probably could have made more if it was advertised, or if it actually had a large release, but it was a small movie from CBS Films, and that hampered its availability to the public, but it still did about as good as anyone could have hoped.

One of the best for me as well. Yes, it had many fantastic elements to it.

watched it last night and thought it was fantastic

less about shitty action and more about solid character building. Made the action at the end more rewarding. Just a really well done movie

Just watched it.

F-ing great. Ben Foster is a badass and Chris Pine really did well.

Bridges killed it of course.

Such a great movie. Love that the action scenes weren't even the main part. Pace was extremely well done

Good movie but a bit overhyped on this board.

How so? You got a better movie this year?

I will say it certainly rips off No Country for Old Men in a quite a few different ways.

It's basically the poor man's version, but still a damn good movie.

Watched it last night after reading this thread. Excellent movie. I actually enjoyed it as much as No Country for Old Men only I preferred the ending of Hell or High Water.

Bridges accent is a bit silly but he really puts forth a great performance.
