Even if you're claiming that this wasn't a gender swap, which I agree with, most fans prefer the OG, male version of the Silver Surfer. So it's still intentionally giving the middle finger to fans.
I've never cared for the F4, so I'm not likely to see the movie anyway. I just can't get into these characters at all for some reason.

Watching the Film Threat review. They like it. Apparently Marvel/Disney made a normal mainstream movie without the usual messaging they include. Go figure.

I can't really point to one thing, I just don't like the characters. If the reviews stay high through this weekend, maybe I'll go just like i did for Superman, just to do something.
I was pleasantly surprised by that movie, so maybe this one will deliver as well.

ETA: it is indeed set in the 1960’s in an alternate timeline.

You do realize those reviewers are the shills that never say anything negative because they want to get invited back, which is why they get to go in the first place.
