My kids are now old enough to watch PG-13 movies with me and I've been enjoying watching things that aren't animated and actually entertaining.

I will post some that they've enjoyed and am hoping for more suggestions.

Depending on the age/maturity of your kids, consider showing them The Jerk. It's rated R and does have a few lines with some iffy language/innuendo, but it's exceedingly calm compared to modern comedies.

We watched it for family movie night when my youngest sister was around the same age as your kids (I'm guessing they're around 13/14?) and everybody loved it. When you're ready to start considering some R-rated flicks, I'd go with this one before any comedy from the last 20 years. It's significantly less intense, significantly less vulgar, and still hilarious

Mine have liked:
The Goonies
Uncle Buck

Bad News Bears
Princess Bride
A League of Their Own

I'm trying to think of what else...I will have to go back and look at our Netflix history.

Oldest is a boy and two younger ones are girls. 9-13
