I read that the house used for the orgy or whatever was owned by the Rothschilds. Why would they agree to participate in the movie if they were the kind of people it exposed?

There are two little details in The Shining that have always added to the mystery for me.
The large poster in the game room that simply says, "Monarch." Strange. Lots of people have noticed this.
The other one that I've never seen any commentary on is that Danny is wearing a Dayton Flyers jacket at his introduction to the hotel.
Being from Dayton, I always wondered what the point was of this feature. There is no indication the Torrances were driving from Ohio to Colorado. I can't even find out where they are coming from.
Dayton is huge in aviation, but I wouldn't necessarily equate it with the Moon Landing in any way. The most famous aspect of Dayton as it relates to "Conspiracy Theory" is Hangar 18 on Wright-Patterson AFB, the location to which the wreckage from Roswell was taken for examination.

It's set in Colorado. That's an actual ski resort in Colorado. The poster is of someone skiing. They're in the mountains.
Meticulous set decoration that includes local flair to help distinguish a setting is not very strange.
And as someone who is from neither Dayton nor Philly, I assumed that was a Philadelphia flyers jacket. I think 99% of people probably would guess the same. Not saying you're wrong though.

Probably had no idea what the scenes were actually going to be about. That mansion has also been used in movies a lot. It was the "Wayne Manor" in Batman Begins as well.
It was a great fit for the scene as well as an ultimate troll by Kubrick. I would bet no one from the family was there, either, watching every frame of every shoot. In 1999, if Kubrick asked to use your space for a movie, basically evryone would say yes.
Kubrick obviously knew about these parties somehow, snd it wasn't just from faking the moon landing.

For anyone that has 2-3 hours to kill, there was a recently released deep dive analyses into Eyes Wide Shut that went over every scene and all the occult/Satanic symbolism and design.

The question comes down to whether Stanley was exposing elite occult society as a blight on mankind or reveling in his inner knowledge? He's obviously been very interested in the occult since long before Eyes Wide Shut, which is clearly the most overt with those themes. The plucked Eye of Horus on Alex DeLarge's clothing, the alignment of the sun over the monolith in 2001 creating a radiance at the top of a pyramid, the allusion to Baphomet in Jack Torrance's memorial pose at the end of The Shining. I get the impression that Stanley was simultaneously fascinated and repulsed.
The film that he wanted most to make that never came to fruition was a biography of Napoleon. With that, you get to touch upon the great themes of the Masonic aspects of the French Revolution, the French campaign in Syria and Egypt (with a night spent in the Great Pyramid of Giza), and the real beginning of the Rothschild banking empire with the Napoleonic Wars and the battle of Waterloo.
I will watch this video when I get the chance.

Yeah, but I don't think the Flyers jacket in Shining is a reference to WPAFB. I'm starting to wonder whether the jacket is tied in to the Moon Landing along the lines of Danny's weird Apollo 11 sweater. Neil Armstrong was a "Flyer" to the Moon, and he is from Wapakoneta OH, about 50 miles to the north of Dayton. It's a stretch, but it is a peculiar piece of apparel for the young boy in the context of the movie. I don't know why 99% of people viewing would associate a blue-and-red jacket with the Philadelphia Flyers (an orange-and-black organization).

If that breakdown of EWS is any indicator, Kubrick knew about this stuff way way way back, going all the way to at least 1962 with Lolita (a film about pedophilia).
He also supposedly wanted to make EWS right after Lolita, so what does that say?
Lolita was his first film after Spartacus, which was a major Hollywood production where he would have been exposed to the "practices" of that world.
After Spartacus, he vowed never to work in Hollywood again and moved his whole family and life to England. He said he would have gone to NY, but they didn't that the film industry infrastructure that London had at the time, so he settled there, and then essentially never left the area again.
Was he just an obsessed old hermit, or was he in fear of ever leaving his area of comfort again?

Mind is pretty much blown after watching that breakdown. Always thought Alice (Nicole Kidman) was somehow linked to ritual that Cruise saw, but never knew it went so deep as this.
Cliffs:
- Alice is a former mind-programmed sex slave for the elites (whom Zeigler is one of). She can't really remember it though, because once her daughter was born her programming shifted to motherhood.
- Bill and Alice are always invited to Zeigler's parties not because Cruise is his doctor, but because Zeigler always wanted to see Alice.
- Alice doesn't really know of her former life, though, because it's all in her programming. Only after smoking weed (which unlocks the mind) does she reveal to Cruise about some her "dreams" of former debauchery.
- While at the ritual as younger woman, Alice was impregnated during the orgies, but does not know who the father is. She also then convinces Cruise he is the dad and they raise the kid as their own, but really the child is just there to keep the unending line of beautiful, pre-programmed women coming forever.
-Cruise is unwitting to all of this because he is so self absorbed. Only after seeing the mask on his bed does he realize what all has happened, and that is why breaks down so much.
-The baby (who also has red hair just like Mandy, Alice, Domino and all of the other "scarlet women" in the film) is kidnapped/led away in the final scene to continue the cycle. She is well on her way now to becoming another Alice.
