Disney To Remove Problematic Kiss From Classic Movie, Snow White Will Now Remain Dead

That headline is 100% believable too!

Rachel Zegler was phenomenal in West Side Story. She can act and has a beautiful voice. That said, she's also apparently bat shite crazy, but you can't blame it all on her. She didn't write the script for this steaming pile of crap.

And this is why awful human beings like her will continue to be awful human beings. Talent isn’t an excuse to be stupid and awful. Also, it’s not the writers saying stupid shut, it’s her, so that excuse if she did t write the story doesn’t fly.

Reality is we shouldn’t be supporting people like this. It simply enables their psychotic behavior.

One thing I know now is since I have not yet watched West Side Story, I will never watch it now.

She didn't write the script for this steaming pile of crap. It's ridiculous how far this movie will veer from not just the 1937 animated classic, but from the original Brothers Grimm fairy tale itself. If the rumors are true, we have a Snow White movie where:

Snow White's skin isn't white as snow
The Queen isn't jealous of SW's beauty, but of her intelligence and strength
The Queen's huntsman doesn't allow SW to escape. She kicks his arse and runs away
No seven dwarfs
No prince
Snow White doesn't care about love. She just wants to be a kick arse girl boss leader
The kiss of true love doesn't wake SW from the poison apple's spell
Snow White defeats the Queen at the end

RE: the actress it would be nearly impossible to expect her to challenge the girl power bosses of Kennedy et al.

That doesn't give her a total pass when her narrative about the product crosses over from pro girl power to "my detractors are bigots, misogynistic, or Nazis". But it would be pretty near impossible for her to stay employed if she appeared to have conservative sympathies.

The new version of the story is frustrating and ridiculous because the original is iconic and meaningful in ways that aren't appreciated by the people appropriating the name and characters to tell a completely different story. On that basis it certainly deserves to be ridiculed.

Great take. Sincerely.

The World is filled with imperfect people that have had imperfect views for thousands of years. People sitting today looking in scorn at art from almost 100 years ago have 0 appreciation for what the world was at that time.

A woman being the protagonist of a major motion picture in 1937 was almost unheard of and groundbreaking.

But today’s culture demands we belittle that personification and accept an entirely unbelievable alternative.

Tell that to Disney, but they wouldn’t care because a Billion dollar company is trying to go from the elbow sticking out and trying to get to its a-hole, and to hell with anyone in between.

I genuinely wonder if Disney is thinking STFU to Ziegler and Gadot or if they’re thinking “you go girls” as they crap on the source material.

My wife is 40 and LOVES princess Disney stories and didn’t see Little Mermaid and is super turned off on this one.

They view it as a worthy investment in a social cause

I find myself wondering if Shirley Temple and Snow White affected the studio decision to produce movies like The Wizard of Oz.

Possible. Although I think the beliefs people have today about the lack of prominent roles for women in the early 20th century are fairly incorrect. The typically stated beliefs about a lack of opportunity for great fame or influence don't easily jive with the number of well respected influential women from that era such as Amelia Earhart, Marie Curie, Helen Keller, Susan B Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt, and many authors.

Prominently featured and admired actresses included not just the likes of Mae West but also examples such as Shirley Temple, Katharine Hepburn, and Bette Davis.

The Wizard of Oz is another interesting story since the Baum Oz books were multiple, widely read, and also first presented as plays (Dorothy and most characters were the same but Toto was originally a cow, not a terrier). So the audience was likely very familiar with the source material before it was released (although the movie itself became more popular gradually over time from what I understand)

If Rachel Zegler claims life is soo hard & that she is soo lonely, despite a self-admitted, ‘great family & wonderful, loving boyfriend’, the rest of us probably should just stop trying. This attractive young bint already has more than 90% of her audience will ever see.

Just check out her recent YouTube confessional where she whines & moans at how hard her life is. SMH. Poor little princess.

*Branding execs predict 'crisis meeting* over Zegler's disasterous social media posts.
