I watched it last night and as one who has a teenager it was pretty rough to watch. None of those scenes are realistic for us though.

None of it is realistic for the typical teenager. It may be what the typical teenager thinks about a lot but it’s hardly what they’re actually doing all the time. Yes, some have sex. Yes, some use varying degrees of drugs. Yes, many make poor choices that range from life altering to minor inconvenience. And it makes up about a quarter of their lives. The other 75% is too boring to make a show out of.

As I have gotten older, I am certainly more racist, more "frick this new world" and certainly less accepting of the LGBT world of today. Show would probably trigger the hell out of me. I had to turn off a brand new game show earlier this week for the flaming ghey they had on there on the very first episode.
It is amazing to me that you could read these statements and not draw the conclusion that this person hates minorities and LGBTQ+ people. Entire sects of the population.

There were a few scenes where I was uncomfortable but I liked it. Interested to see where this goes .

I mean I guess it spends on how you define hate. Hate to me is a passionate disgust that manifests itself in very active ways, almost trying to hurt the person you hate. If hate is turning off the tv because you don’t want to watch a gay person then what word is reserved for beating up homosexuals or throwing them off buildings. I’m not saying I agree with the guy, I just think you need to keep some terms in the bank for truly heinous behavior. Now, he did say he was kind of racist so maybe he is a nazi, I don’t know.

The show wont last long. Too small an audience. HBO has a history of "statement" shows that are more "woke" than entertaining that run for a short period of time.
I guess Execs feel they are making some sort of social impact.

You draw some pretty good lines with your opinion of me. I did not say I hate anyone. I said I am "less accepting" of the LGBT world and did not want to watch a game show with a over the top ghey acting up on it. I did not say I hate all LGBT or all minorities.
Stop being so sensitive.

This is the second or third complaint like this.
It's not a documentary about the life of an average boring teen who makes B+, obeys her parents, and braids her friend's hair for excitement.
Most TV shows are about fringe or exceptional characters, with tremendous dramatization.
We realize the doctors on House and Grey's Anatomy are not "realistic for the typical" physician. It's made up shite for entertainment. We don't want to watch an average doctor treat a sore back or prescribe antibiotics.
