I do agree that Zendaya will win an Emmy for that episode. As an addiction medicine physician I can tell you she did a great job. Levinson wrote a great intervention scene with some very spot on parts - the constant switching from attacking to penitence to excuses (I just miss Dad) is classic addict behavior. I'm curious what hell the drug dealer lady is going to bring.

i mean, once they're out there... they're out there forever

I thought for sure she was drugging her up for the sex trades.. Maybe she was and Rue was just lucky and escaped.

I think she was drugging her up for sex trades also. While she was injecting her she said "I just had the feeling you were going to be in my life a long time". It is really creepy how she is so deadpan about things and obviously a total sociopath

She's Laurie from silicon valley, just as a drug lord.

Didn't Laurie tell her when she was giving her the suitcase if she didn't get her the money she would "sell her to some bad people" or something similar? Figured between that and cleaning her up and giving her something like morphine to essentially sediate her that it was obvious she was about to pimp her out.

the scenes in Laurie’s house gives serious David Lynch vibes

I know the episode was entirely about Rue, and it was a good episode, but not enjoyable at all to watch if that makes sense.
With that being said, I'm way more interested to see the fallout between Maddie and Cassie

Sydney Sweeney... asked Euphoria creators to cut back on 'unnecessary' topless scenes!
I think that interview she gave was talking about the production process of season 2. So obviously it was occurring, but not egregiously so.

Great episode. Sort of reminded me of the Sopranos intervention in a little way. The scene with Fez was hard to watch. It's like he cares about her but she can't be around him and stealing from granny hit him hard.
The old lady was definitely trying to get her worse off and keep her drugged up for terrible reasons. She had all that stuff and intentionally told her she could only shoot her up, and "all pharmaceuticals are safe." Have no idea if her story about getting prescribed pills for an injury was true or not. I have a feeling Fez is going to bear the brunt of that situation and isn't gonna hand Rue over to them which will create a conflict. (I was surprised they were doing business with him after they knew he was part of Mouse's demise).

What a great episode. Zendaya absolutely knocked it out of the park and the women from Baskets is absolutely creepy as frick. She’s damn lucky she made it out because she was on her way to the sex slave trade no doubt.
Also looking forward to see where the Cassie, Maddy, Nate story line goes.
Show is damn good. Several interesting story lines. Rue’s arc was probably my least favorite, but damn did she absolutely kill it in the latest episode. It’s very well done

I get annoyed with how Hollywood downplays withdrawal. This one hits it on the nose. The only other one close was mr. robot

I'm 20 minutes in, and this has been really difficult to watch. Great acting
Was coming here to post just this. Especially for someone who has sadly real life experience with the exact situation.

This show is absolutely brilliant at times. Basically zoomer trainspotting
Rue’s theft scene pretty realistic, sadly

Presumably, when Fez finally gets a one on one chat with the creepy lady he says "Mouse isn't gonna be coming around no more". IIRC she asks something like "why is that." But I don't think it ever showed Fez's response but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out for her/the weirdo "plug" group.
