Just did a rewatch of breaking bad. This film was completely unnecessary. But what really grinds my gears, is the fact that Todd is fat as Frick. It completely ruins the movie.

have yourself a downvote, you hater of tying up loose ends.

El camino was perfect and I was happy Jessies drug story was finished.

It was good from a Breaking Bad continuation standpoint for fans of the show, but overall wasn’t very good.

Sort of like the Entourage movie. As a fan, it was good to get a piece again, but I’m reality it was horrible.

Wishing for a Badger/Skinny Pete spin off.

It's clear that Netflix just threw a pile of cash at Gilligan and he couldn't refuse. So uninspired and dull

It was great for what it was. An epilogue without doing any harm to Breaking Bad's perfect ending. Not the greatest thing in the world but it was what it needed to be.

This. It was a great ending for Jesse.

Couldn't disagree more with the OP.

I enjoyed it. Yeah, the actors were noticeably older, but it was satisfying. I like fugitive movies.

They had to tie up the loose end at the end of Breaking Bad which was Jesse Pinkman. Had to do it.

I liked it.

They didn’t have to conclude Jesse’s story, but I’m glad they did.

Obviously, when you compare it to the second half of Breaking Bad S5, which is one nail-biting/depressing episode after another, it’s gonna look dull in comparison.

You just have to suspend your disbelief that Jesse is still in his mid 20s, and Todd gained a ton of weight and then lost it before Walt returned.

Did you see the fake poster for a movie called Heisenberg? Supposed to be a 2 hour movie after series finale. Walter White survives. Coming out August 2024. Fooled me for a moment.

I think everyone is missing the point, and I should have made it clear. Jesse plemons, is a great actor. That role propelled him to greatness. Don't you think he could have lost the weight for the reprisal of Todd? I mean great actors do it all the time.

It’s my understanding that he had gained weight for a role. I think maybe Chuck Obrian in The Irishmen. El Camino shooting was done just over a month and a half.

Rewatching it now and have been reminded how it's almost a hate watch.

Love the story and most of the characters but cannot stand Walter's mannerisms and personality. His false bravado would have gotten him killed by the second season at the latest.

"Say my name"

Get the frick out of here pencilneck.

It was good enough, but mostly forgettable.

I enjoyed it but didn’t understand how they didn’t have Todd go on a diet before filming. It definitely took away from an otherwise solid wrap up Jessie’s story.

He had fattened up for a role in a Scorsese movie. The shooting for El Camino was secret and done in a month and a half. He didn’t have much advanced notice or time to lose the weight.

Couldn't agree more. But it is great being able to fast forward through all of sklyer and Marie's parts
