It's not as fun of a movie, with all the laughs and cameos and stuff..bit IMO it is a better movie, yes.

It definitely had more substance than DP3 but the nostalgia in DP3 was so damn good.

There is a lot to build on in thunderbolts. Plenty of meat on the bone with interesting characters.

A different kind of MCU movie but I think it might be one of their best. I was skeptical going in because I haven't really enjoyed many things MCU other than Deadpool and Wolverine since Endgame. This one just struck a chord with me.

The poster who said the battle with Void at the end was anti climatic...Idk where that came from. Thought it all was handled very well. Lewis Pullman killed it. Everyone did, really but he really shined in this one. Hope this kickstarts his stardom.

8.5 and borderline 9 out of 10 for me.

It's the first time I've actually given a shite about the characters of the MCU since Endgame as well. That's something they've been missing. It's not just superheroes. It's the fact that ScarJo, RDJ, Chris Evans and others brought some nuance to these superheroes and made us care about them as people, their histories, their livelihoods, etc.

I didn't give a shite about any of these guys before going in but because they nailed the character work so much, I'm all the way in on seeing more of them and can't wait

So we find out what the asteriks is in the movie.
I was curious about that.
Looks like they will become the west coast avengers.
.

I didn't stay for the end credit scene but saw it in YouTube.
I'm trying to figure out who the A team Avengers are.

Yeah i didn't think i would care about Walker or ghost but they did a good job setting them up. I like Bob/Sentry as well.

Elaine was a decent villan.

I appreciated the very meta post endgame MCU criticism the first act threw out there. Hopefully this marks a turning point

I just got out and I loved it. 9/10 for me. I liked it more than Guardians 3 for sure, and it’s right there with No Way Home and Deadpool/Wolverine imo but in a way that felt different. Bob and Yelena were phenomenal characters, I loved John Walker and Red Guardian was great too. I genuinely enjoyed the entire group and I felt more emotionally invested in these characters than I have with anything in Marvel in a long time.

Agreed completely. Pullman is SO good as Bob and really nailed the shy, meek guy trying so hard to smile through the pain and hide his depression and trauma beneath the surface. I really want to see more of him in Doomsday and Secret Wars.

And regarding the final fight, that was pretty much in line with the comics and I’m not sure how else anyone expected this to end. Calming Bob down so he get control of his emotions and suppress the Void is the only way to beat him for 99.9% of Marvel characters This guy could solo powerhouses like Adam Warlock, Captain Marvel, Thanos etc.

Just got out of it. Thought it was fantastic. Easily an 8.5/10. My whole theatre laughed a good bit throughout the movie.

Also, I see Madking is downvoting everyone who says they liked the movie

That genuinely felt like a wink from Marvel admitting “yeah this version of the character sucks, my bad”

Hopefully the real Taskmaster pops up in Secret Wars
