Saw it this afternoon and really enjoyed it. Habour had some great lines; not just to him but I lol several times. The humor was good.
But the public aint gonna take to the new Avengers being former paid and highly trained assassins. That will be interesting.
frick sitting until the complete end of the credits, tho.

The movie proved fatherhood has made me soft. The father-daughter scene made me tear up because him talking about how happy she was as a kid and how she lit up a room just made me think of my daughter.
Also the “final fight” scene was phenomenal. So well done. (Trying to avoid spoilers since this isn’t one of those threads)

I hope you sat until the end of the credits though. Good scene and info for the future.

I finally got around to watching it. Took the family and we all really enjoyed it. My wife doesn't care much for comic book films but even she liked it. Yelana and Bob were great characters in this one.

Compared to previous MCU movies, it’s an improvement. But in terms of creativity and uniqueness, it’s nothing special. It’s still a high-budget MCU fest with a lot of the same character tropes that plague previous Marvel films. Terrible, cringeworthy jokes have always ruined the tone of MCU films and this one is no different.
I can't believe people actually fell for the A24 esque branding, as if it wasn't obvious enough that Marvel was desperate to market this movie as being "not like the others". People are so fricking stupid and don’t realize that MCU is nothing more than a soul-less cash cow now.

Their later projects are being reshot and quickly rearranged which is causing these weirdly constructed, tonally uneven movies that they have to fill with quips to cover for all the messiness. It’s happening again with F4, rumors that the silver surfer story is being reshot right now.

Remember, this was supposed to be in the era of Kang the Conqueror with a lead into the Fantastic Four.
Then somehow ‘Tony Stark’ returned.

This has been the mcu filming process for every single mcu movie. Every one. Not an exaggeration. There's a literal whole book about it.

The creatives and Marvel comic creatives who were advising them prior to civil war are gone. Now you have too many cooks in the kitchen and instead of fidelity to the characters they’re trying to mimic the wrong aspects of the MCU movies.

There have always been touch ups and corrections made in post but now they’re totally changing storylines and character arcs way late into the process. The MCU PR machine started conflating to two and misleading the public which is what you’re referring to. Look at the captain falcon situation where at first they claimed there were no reshoots happening then when they got caught doing it they said it always happens.

Female Silver Surfer has me completely out of this movie. I don't care if everyone says it's amazing. I won't be seeing it in theaters.
Currently waiting on the Falcon movie to hit D+ so I can watch that before Thunderbolts. I guess they timed this so people would pay extra to rent it via stream, but I won't be doing that. Maybe I'll get to see it before Thunderbolts leaves the theater so I can help the box office for that one.

I am a big defender of Marvel and I am fanboy #1 on this board for Captain America.
With that said the reshoots are clearly outside the normal. It was jarring how visible the reshoots were in Brave New Order and really hurt a fantastic movie. Anthony Mackie has been screwed by the current creative team behind Marvel along with piss poor luck.

Don’t forget about Ironheart between Thunderbolts and F4.

I'll just have to be ignorant about whatever happens on this show.
That and She-Hulk are the only MCU projects I am actively planning not to see.

Hate what they’ve done to Falcon. 1st off there are far more stories in the comics compared to the movies so you shouldn’t be changing these characters so fast. There’s no need for Sam or Bucky to be Cap yet, they need to flesh out who they are first. Then once that’s happened you can gage which way to go as far as Cap’s mantle. This is pervasive with characters throughout the modern MCU. Same with Yelana, do we really know her based on BW and a couple scenes in Hawkeye?

Harbour is my guess.
He’s a commie married to another commie, Brit singer Lily Allen.
