It is a movie that is what it is supposed to be. I enjoyed it, especially the nerdy Easter eggs throughout. I hope they make this a shared word and do the old book characters justice.

Even the geeks on YouTube were pleasantly surprised.

I thought it was good and very enjoyable.

My only disappointment was I that I was hoping they would have had scenes that showed the DM and the role players looking over the game, casting dice, celebrating victories, etc.

Took my 2 oldest boys and we enjoyed. We went to see a good movie and met expectations. No other agenda outside of entertaining us.

Saw it today and it was fun. There are a couple of things I would change (see: Elminster) but they were very few. The story moved well, the CGI was spot on and the action scenes were solid (mostly).

Soapbox: off (ON)

The only real issue I had was the message from the cast before the movie. Thanking the audience for coming out to the theater is one thing, but calling them "heroes" for doing so?

Want to get more people out to the theaters again? Stop charging so fricking much for tickets and redo how profits from ticket sales are shared with the theaters (so they don't need to try to push $12 for a large drink as a "deal").
