How exactly did Richard and Clark bike along routes that made their transit away from the pool house look like a solo rider?
They were coming from two different places? I just saw it something simple as that.

Best part of the show was the old detective’s reaction to all the weird shite he was finding out about he never heard of

Still a little torn on the last episode (not necessarily the ending). Some questions and observations I had:
1) I'm not sure why they ever really thought it was a homicide instead of a suicide. I guess because they knew there was a second person there from the evidence.. but still... sort of weird to investigate the whole thing as a homicide and keep working the case in that direction and then just sort of run with suicide just because the kid says so (especially the kid who has physically attacked Floyd in the past).
2) Disliked how they suddenly tried to semi-redeem Carol as a reasonable person in the last episode. Set her up as 10X crazy throughout the series and a complete manipulative wacko, then try to redeem her as someone who was just wanting the best for her disabled son.
3) Agree with others who felt like suicide was a little out of character for Floyd. I also think they should have shown a little more devastation and culpability on Clark's end for ultimately being the catalyst for Floyd's suicide. Yes he meant well, but he set him up for rejection first with Tiger Tiger and then by Clark himself, which ultimately ruined Floyd.
4) I ended up really liking the interplay between the two detectives. Homer had me cracking up as he was explaining the swinger world to his superior and he's simultaneously realizing how far down the wormhole toward that subculture being normalized he's come as he's matter-of-factly explaining it and his supervisor is like, 'WTF?".
5) Ultimately a pretty bleak series, but I enjoyed it overall.

For your first point, I think the only possible cause of death was Floyd drinking the medicine at a lethal level.
I agree they jumped to poisoning too quickly, but I also understand why they didn’t think Richard was culpable.
When speaking with the cops, he assumed Floyd was drinking hard liquor to get drunk and was clearly unaware of what the medication was.
The only way to have killed Floyd would be to coerce him to drink the medication. The easiest way would’ve been to put it in the Bloody Mary mix and hand it to him.
Clearly Richard couldn’t have done that, whereas a lover or spouse could have absolutely pulled that off.
Also Floyd had no cuts, bruises, or other body trauma, so there was no other way to explain his death than his consumption of the fictitious medicine (Amphezine?)
So it was always one of three possibilities, but all with the medicine imo: accidental overconsumption, suicide, or murder.

It's a solid reminder of how vanilla you can be.

I did appreciate how the black lady cop recognized female manipulative behavior and threw it right back at her. You heard me!

But why would you ever put a lethal amount of meds in the drink if the goal is simply to get hard?

Maybe he didn't put the lethal amount in until after the kid saw him? I seem to remember Clark asking Floyd if he made sure to use the right amount, right when he got there.
Or, he didn't plan to drink it all, just sip enough until the boner popped. But when everything went down, he just gulped it all down.

IIRC the only time they showed him pouring the Rx into the bloody Mary can was before Clark showed up.

This whole plot line was shite. He couldn’t get a blue pill?

He actually talked about that at some point. For his specific condition, viagra/cialis where ineffective, I believe he said. AI confirms that Peyronie's disease involves a structural issue that can't be fixed with traditional erectile dysfunction meds, but needs to be corrected with injections, surgery or traction. What I think is a stretch is that some other oral medicine (amphezyne) would do the trick where the normal meds wouldn't.

Agreed. I just thought it's possible that after he saw the kid, they don't show it, but you could assume he possibly went back and poured the remainder of the bottle in the can to commit suicide.
Definitely wasn't clear. Just possible they expected the viewer to assume that jump.
Or that he didn't plan to drink the entire can until after he saw the kid.
ETA: The most uncomfortable scene in the history of film was the two of them in their underwear, dancing with each other. And talking about getting hard.
It was so bad I could barely watch it, lol. I thought for sure Bateman's underwear was going to protrude when he sat down and I was about to turn it off.

The traction. That's the stretch.

Typical HBO trying to normalize perversion.
HBO typically has the best shows. But you have to deal with this shite.
This wasn't very good.
