I thought he was fine in Carlito's Way.

He was very good in that.

Let me guess. He said something that you conservatives didn't agree with

What’s funny is that I don’t like Pacino generally but never heard his politics at all and have no idea where he stands. DeNiro is a little bitch and I love almost all his work.

He was too much in Heat but doesn’t take away from how much I love the movie. I wouldn’t change it.

Generally I don’t “boycott” a Hollywood person unless they’ve done something genuinely terrible (Polanski/Jane Fonda) or said that they don’t want my business (Larson.)

Does he overact in Heat? Absolutely.

Does it ruin the movie? No. One of my favorite movies of all time .

Even in Donnie Brasco he's over the top

Are you kidding me? Pacino gave a brilliant subdued performance in Donnie Brasco. It reminded me a lot of his great work from the '70s. He acted circles around Johnny Depp in that movie.

He was good in that.

It was reminiscent of Dustin Hoffman as Rizzo ratso or even fredo.

Just a somewhat pathetic character all the way around.

Pacino is the best part of Heat.

Heat is a good movie that would have been great without the awful Kilmer subplot or DeNiro being a dumbass and trying to kill Waingro to get revenge for Danny Trejo - the whole point was that he and Pacino were professionals. It made no sense for him to get emotional over his crew getting killed, certainly not to throw away his perfect escape plan and lifetime victory in a suicide mission.

Pacino was great in Heat.

I'm angry. I'm very angry, Ralph. You know, you can ball my wife if she wants you to. You can lounge around here on her sofa, in her ex-husband's dead-tech, post-modernistic bullshite house if you want to. But you do not get to watch MY frickING TELEVISION SET!

One of my top 5 all time movies. It shows that Neil just couldn’t let it go. He SHOULD have. But he couldn’t.

The writing for Pacino's character was bad. Hated all of the time they devoted to his life. His unatractive girlfriend and her needy daughter were completely unnecessary. Really the De Niro love interest was unnecessary too, except to prove how selfish he was to endanger her.

Really love all of the bad guy characters, under De Niro, in Heat. Them, and their ruthlessness, make the movie for me.

If anything the GIMMIE ALL YA GOT and the GREAT arse nonsense were the best examples of his schtick ruining a scene

I read somewhere that Michael Mann made him do like 30 takes of those scenes, and Pacino got pissed off and went overboard on purpose. Mann used them
