I don't mind going alone if I want to see something

What's funny as hell is sitting near a group of teenagers and cutting one in the dark... then waiting for the gasps when it reaches them

Don't see a problem with it. I have done this before. Don't do it all the time, but I've never felt like an utter failure at life the times I did.

FWIW you get to sit in the car and talk about the film.

Not that you can do that with movies like Norbit, though.

I always go to movies at E street theater alone because I like indie movies and I really dont care to bring my gf there, though she's come once.

And I like going to movies at like 12pm when I have shite else to do on the weekends.

all the time.

i can't stand the thought of taking a girl on a date, especially if you just started seeing her, to the movies.

it's dark and you're supposed to be quiet, how can you get to know someone.

depends what type of movie it is tho. thriller, drama, action, twist...i would rather see it alone.

prefer it... I don't see the point of going to the movies with anyone, you can't talk to them and you have to fight over the armrests.

only insecure people can't spend times by themselves or do anything alone

Maybe "dinner and a movie" is the main way most folks watch movies, making it part of a social outing.

But you are asking those who frequent a board called the "Movie and TV board."

There are going to be a lot of folks here who get on the road to watch a movie rather than make it a stop along the way.

I used to do it a lot. Nothing wrong with it in my eyes.

That probably has something to do with the fact that you rated Twilight >> Toy Story 3.

didnt realize this was so popular. Nothing against it; I just always thought of going to the movies as a social thing.

kind of funny you (people in general) think that considering there is nothing social about seeing a movie, you just sit there quietly and watch... I get where your coming from though, I hardly ever go to the movies alone

id say eating at a restaurant alone is much worse because that is much more of a social thing

I used to do it all the time, though now that I am engaged I get in trouble for that shite now.

I would still go alone if I could.

Twilight is only rewatchable with RiffTrax IMO....so he must have thought TS3 was THAT bad.

"But what do I know? Im just your typically, abnormally confident, world weary, 16 year old female protagonist. Teehee!"

I go to movies alone all the time, but I bring my blow-up companion to sit next to me so people won't think I'm a loser.

I'll also go to a restaurant alone. If I pass a bar and want a beer, I'll sit at the bar alone. I love people, but there's not much that I wouldn't do alone. (Yep, I do that alone sometimes also.)

Does your companion put out at the end of the night?
