Jeffe Lowe was too smart for him

Lowe basically smokes his arse

Yes. But it was own stupidity that got him in prison. When you let some guy have your business and surround yourself with the shadiest of people there can only be a bad outcome. As the old saying goes “there is no honor amongst thieves.”

I felt bad for him until they dug up the dead tigers.
I think 22 years is extreme. Cut that in half and I’d be ok with it given the murder for hire plot.

He took advantage of young drug addicts

It’s unfortunate but the man made his bed. It was straight depravity 24/7 and he took advantage of vulnerable yet mildly retarded folks.
Shooting the tigers was the least of my concerns with him.
It never made sense to me he obsessed about Baskin but ended up giving his business away. He should have just kept it at opinion level but he went asinine with all the threats. This could have been some national petty fued had he just kept it on the level.

He took young on the street guys who were clearly not gay but needed meth and got his fix.
He took advantage of people who needed drugs so bad they'd suck dick.
Like in Menace to Society I'll suck your dick dependance.
So he took advantage of people in vulnerable positions.
Just like that bitch Carole.
But he was right to go after Carol Baskin because she was obviously a murderer except for the police. What did she pay them?
Can't feel sorry for anyone in this sordid saga except the people who fell for their tricks or ended up associated with them.

Nope. He took advantage of people who had nowhere else to go and kept them in a horrible situation because he knew they couldn’t leave.
Also, look how he did his parents. My eyes couldn’t have rolled harder back in my head when he was trying to drum up sympathy for Baskins going after his parent’s house and make it seem like it was unwarranted. Motherfricker, you clearly lied to them and convinced them to put your shite in their name. You knew she was going to go after that property.

I think he was all talk with the Carol bullshite and was set up... however, if he did indeed kill the tigers for the hell of it, he deserves some punishment. 2yrs?

No.
It's hard to feel bad for anyone involved in Tiger King.

If he would have just took the L from Carole and not toured with baby tigers, he would have been just fine. But he couldn't let it go. Carole had the high ground (money) and Joe thought he was "The Tiger King".

I felt bad for the dude with no legs, seemed like the only decent person in the whole thing.
I also feel bad for Caroles current husband...it’s only a matter of time before she feeds his goofy arse to the tigers.

I don't feel sorry for him, he was a victim of his own ego more than anything else. I mean... why the hell was his lawyer surprised that he took the stand to defend himself? Hell, it would have been completely counter to his personality to not take the stand.
People like that tend to always push limits and if they get enough money they feel they have no limits.
When they go too far they end up trying to blame their failures on anyone and everyone else.
They are also likely to try to take others down in order to alleviate some of their punishment.
Joe checks off all of those points.
