where are you getting that info?

Google ai summary is suggesting a similar range to what Madking said, but the only sources listed are a John Campea YouTube video and an IMDB reprint of a ComicBookMovie.com article about the Campea YouTube video.

Campea apparently says the budget is $400 and the marketing budget is $300+ million. That second number smells like bs.

I am very interested in seeing Dune. Eventually I want to see the Doomsday movie but it isn't important to me that it is in IMAX or even in the theater. Doomsday will be a jammed movie with CGI more than scenery and the plot has already undermined some of the better character arcs from the earlier Avengers movies.

Anyway, to answer the OP. Probably not. The big value for Dune is what they gobble up in the Christmas and New Year range. If they move it I think they lose more than they gain.

I'm also very curious whether Doomsday will have the appeal that Spiderman has had. It feels like the Russo brothers are doing an Expendables rip off with Tony Stark as the big baddie

I agree with that. The good news for Marvel is they're very lucky to have gotten the Xmen back, and that Sony let's them use Spiderman. Can you imagine if they had neither of these options?

The problem with the X-Men is they keep trying to stir up nostalgia by bringing back the original actors. They're all old as dirt. X2 came out 23 years ago.

Bad examples
Those are Sony's "Spiderverse" movies, not MCU flicks.

Despite growing up reading the comics and knowing the origins and adaptations of just about every single plot point in every Marvel movies from the last 35 years I have only mild interest for Avengers: Doomsday.

I don't like the direction they've taken any of the characters since Endgame and have been given no reason to be optimistic. Dr. Doom is laughably OP and while I really liked the character from the comics he had a lot of nuance added to him over years and years. This movie looks far, far too bloated to give him any of that.
