Just wanted to get the consensus on here. Looking for a new show but I’m not a big 20+ episodes per season kind of guy. Saw it was on Amazon Prime and I like Rami Malek.

Should I give it a shot? Or is it overrated?

Especially the first season, but it’s all good.

You need a flashlight to watch it.

I really enjoyed the first season and a half but found that it just got ridiculous. I understand you want to surprise viewers with twists and turns and all that but it got to the point where the writers seemed more worried about shock value than allowing for easy viewing. I felt like I needed a guide in front of me to keep up with the plot. Finally, I just gave up...I just wasn't invested/hooked enough to put in the effort required to follow the show.

May be better as a binge watch being you don't have a week to kill brain cells between each episode.

Absolutely. Season 1 is phenomenal. Season 2 was decent but season 3 was very good

Great show.

Sad it's ending next season but it could be for the best.

Visceral, amazing film and sound work. Great plot, great characters.

Some of the framed shots are some of the best I've seen in television.

That uncut long shot during the building raid from last season was breathtaking.

I enjoy the show very much. Although some creative license is still used, it's definitely the most accurate show in terms of portrayal of real world system penetration ever made.

You just wrote the perfect viewing experience of watching FX’s Legion.

Yeah I imagine Rami’s upcoming stardom will make it hard for them to keep going.

Spot on. It was refreshing to watch the show and think "hmm...they actually did some research and brought in some people who actually do this stuff" instead of my usual impression of:

First season is elite
Second season drags but they really build the world.
Third season is great again

The second season gets more heat than it should. They really flesh out the characters and world. It’s like the opposite of British tv, they just give you so much content.

If you are fan of late 90s indie/smaller budget action/crime movies, you will like this.

Definitely give it a shot.

I will say the pilot is arguably my favorite of any show. If it doesn’t hook you from episode one, there’s a good chance it isn’t for you.

The pilot opening seen has to be the best hook to any show I've seen. LOST is up there but I think this was a tad better

Ive never heard somebody speak bad about the show so I gave it a go. About 5 episodes in I gave up. I dont even know specifically why it wasnt that appealing to me, but I just didnt care for it that much. It took me watching Peaky Blinders 1st two episodes a 2nd time later down the road for me to love it, I guess I need to try again

if you had made it to 6 or 7 you would have finished the first season, and probably the next two as well

I do second the notion it's better as a binge than one episode a week though

I liked the first season. 8/10

I binged the 2nd and 3rd back to back over a few weeks. 2nd season was a major step down. 3/10.

3rd season was better but I’m thinking since I had a bad taste in my mouth from S2, I was half-assing it. 6/10

My advice....watch it. Binge the seasons. But take breaks between seasons. A long break.
