My kids loved Turner and Hooch and Mighty Ducks. Shame

Does it really cost that much money to have old content on a streaming service?

Just seems like an odd move.

If it's not being shown, they don't have to pay any royalties.

I am one of the few people on the board that liked "Y: The Last Man."

We now have 50 different subscription services but the benefit was all content ever made by this company ever.

Now those many services will start to peel off their own content and we will have fragmented the streaming services for ultimately no reason.

ETA: Disney maybe thinking physical media wasn’t so bad. One time purchase and not being beholden to paying out royalties if mom and dad popped it on for little Johnny 6 days a week over and over again.

I did like The World According to Jeff Goldblum but would never rewatch so I guess it makes sense. I was hoping they’d do another season.

Disney will start licensing a lot of these properties out to other services now, too. Just watch.

Sony never started a streaming service because it was always far more lucrative just to license out stuff to Netflix, cable networks, etc.

Streaming is also money pit for most companies, especially now that they have to pay out more royalties.

It is funny that it seems to all be coming back to 2009.

Fragmented streaming became expensive for the consumer and was a big loser for the services, so we should expect to see fewer streaming services with larger libraries.

Same shite is happening with OTA television. All the streaming options are approaching cable levels.

This was the reason to ALWAYS have hard copies of things you want. I've been buying Blu-rays off eBay lately for sub $5 before they all get shredded, changed, etc.

I've cut back on streaming subscriptions and started to lean on Samsung TV Plus and PlutoTV a lot more.

Golazo Network and Modern Marvels get a ton of play in my house.

Could be server drag? I don't know; that's all I got. I guess they need to keep ram freed up for She Hulk and the other MCU successes.

The Big Shot was actually really good. I liked Mighty Ducks: Game Changers as well.

Oh well.

They still have to pay residuals to the actors, writers and directors
