On a recent 9 hour drive I thought up an entire Star Wars trilogy that would make a gazillion dollars...its not hard to make a good story in that universe. Of course when you use your studio as a vehicle for social messaging, the stories are just gonna come across as being preached to

Not a big deal. Disney is again changing things, Simon Kinberg is next in line, apparently. So moving it makes sense. The earliest we'd see his film is winter of 2027, IMO.

This is what I was thinking as well. I was like they just announced the writer how the frick could this have released in 2026 ever?
But apparently this is a separate Rey movie that has nothing to do with the next trilogy
