If this follows anywhere close to what Tom King did with his Vision run, which it appears to be very similar, then this will be fantastic. It's the series I am most looking forward to from Marvel shows. The promos make it feel like a cross between King's run and House of M

This was the only chance left to have MCU content released in 2020. I'm tired of everything continuing to get pushed back. The show is done, they could have started releasing it already.

I am comic ignorant, but man the trailer for that just looked weird as frick and out of place to me. I had no idea what it was trying to accomplish and if they were nailing it or missing the mark completely.

I'm interested to see peoples' thoughts once this comes out.

It's essentially Wanda having a mental breakdown from the events of last two Avengers movies. She has the capability to create/re-write her own reality, which looks like is going to expressed as a progression through various sitcoms over the decades.

They are actually nailing it. It's Wanda's reality-bending powers mixed with a tad of Vision's comic-quest for a "normal suburban life," that he does get for a while. Has a few years worth of books on his life outside of the Avengers. It's good stuff.

I expect some Mephisto to tie it in to Strange.

Thanks. That explanation at least makes some sense to me.

So it’s not “real” but will it be just a 60s version of a tv show with typical situations from that, or will they be doing avenger shite too?

Little bummed it’s not around the holiday season, but too be expected at this point. At least we finally have some new Marvel content to look forward to.

I think WandaVision could be reallllllly good and set the tone for the next phase/sage and the Disney+ shows. Can’t wait for this one!

They're supposed to tie into the larger MCU scheme, and that all shuffled, too.

What are the chances that Wanda winds up as a tragic villain after this series and one the Avengers will have to take down? Like in Dr Strange's multiverse of madness.

She can't cope with her grief over losing the man she loves and it causes chaos on her powers thus bending reality and threatening the very fabric of space and time thus putting humanity and the rest of the universe in danger.

I’m fine with it. February is by far the shittiest month of the year for me. After the Super Bowl it’s just wintry shite.

It’s basically her having a mental breakdown after vision dies. In her grief, she throws open the multiverse so that she can create an alternate reality where he never died. Her understanding of the perfect American life is the tv sitcom. Leads into dr strange 2 with him having to try and deal with the consequences and deal with her (or the villain manipulating her).

The best part is that it allows for all of the pre disney fox movies to exist or at least be explained if they want to. Spiderman 3 is expected to have all of the other previous spidermans appear (movie happens before strange 3). It is great for story telling and making anything work. With all the new multiverse stuff, actors/characters can come and go, or be replaced/rebooted but it stays connected. This is the perfect way for deadpool to just hop over.
