The parks are also now allowing "cast members" to show tattoos, wear more jewelry, let them wear their hair however they want, and more leeway with how they wear the uniforms.
The workers were absolute kunts when I went it March

Disney/ABC rejected TV show pilots/concepts because they had too many white people.
From the station that shows The Goldbergs, Fresh Off The Boat, Black-ish and Mixed-ish? Never...

It's already hard enough to make a successful TV show and they're placing artificial obstacles in their own way.
These people are idiots but they want to be the ones telling everyone how to think?

What she meant to say was that it's not what the audience we want wants.
I pose as an alternative:
As viewers abandon television and movies, in general, for other forms of entertainment (games, phone apps, etc), the industry has to cater to a more concentrated pool of active viewers. In other words, the media that you are seeing is a reflection of the audience that is viewing it. As the shows became more and more "weird" because artists were convinced they had to "push the envelope", people started to abandon the medium. This shifted the definition of "weird" which meant artists had to be more extreme to "push the envelope". This forms a feedback loop as the industry dies of ever increasingly strange tastes that are being catered to, which simply accelerates people abandoning the medium. Eventually this worm will turn back on itself as it is almost completely abandoned and it will be sh*tting out some of the most vile and reprehensible "stories" that history has ever witnessed.
You can already see a microcosm of this with the porn industry. The industry is slinging apart.
Fascinating times.

I actually had a similar thought when reading this. At first I thought she was an idiot for saying that's not what their audience wants. Then I starting thinking that I haven't watched a network show in years. I'd like to think I'm not the only one that has abandoned most of their content. So I think you have a point. They've lost so much of their audience that they are chasing after a smaller and smaller audience. It's not get woke go broke, but go broke get woke.

I don’t know why you included The Goldbergs on this list, but regardless, there are precisely 0 to 1 POC per Goldbergs episode

Jewish family in a country where Jews make up less than 5-10% of the population.
Point is that they are pandering to every minority group out there, regardless of color.

Look at any list of the greatest sitcoms of all time and none of them could be made. No modern family, no Friends, no Seinfeld, no cheers. The only one in the top 20 would be fresh prince.

Shows that aired on ABC that wouldn't have aired on ABC using this metric:
Roseanne
Home Improvement
Wonder Years
Laverne & Shirley
Three's Company
Leave it to Beaver
Adam West's Batman
Drew Carrey Show
Odd Couple
Modern Family
Happy Days
Brady Bunch
I'm sure the list goes on.

You want to know why network television is falling straight in the shitter? Look no further than this quote:
When “inclusion” is more important than whether the story is worth a shite, you have a major problem.

Take a shite on a peace of paper and get a straight to pilot deal because the shite is brown.
