They decided not to let Wolfs with Brad Pitt and George Clooney have a theatrical run. That seems like a swing and a miss for me.

Really? Admittedly haven't watched but heard it was meh at best. Very slow.

I didn’t realize we are getting two new episodes this week until I read your post. The app says Friday, but the new episodes will be available tonight at 8pm Central

I tried watching the first episode of this, and unfortunately I did not make it to the end. I enjoy a show about a woman's emotions and journey as much as any other valued Movie/Tv Board poster, but this one did not resonate with me. I am in no way trying to dissuade anyone else from enjoying this, and maybe in time I will enjoy this show. But as previously stated, sadly I dropped off episode 1.

First two episodes were pretty good. Didn’t know if I’d like it. Took me until the end of the 2nd episode to figure out the ladies husband is Sasha Baron Cohen.

Tbh I would've been pretty disappointed if I had to see that in a theater, I don't think they could have made a more boring me if they tried. Which is unfortunate because after seeing the casting and premise I was pretty excited.

Leila George

That’s was the most exquisitely shot soft-core porn that I’ve ever seen. I’m only partly kidding because the camerawork for this whole show has surpassed my already high expectations after I saw Cuaron was involved.

Jonathan’s death played out as I expected. Even when I could tell he was going to be left behind, I was having a hard time blaming Catherine. Until we saw that closeup of her face when she saw he was still out there. I hate her so much now and I can’t wait to see her downfall. They are foreshadowing it so well with all the comments from strangers about the book.

Looks like the remaining three episodes will be released one per week. I’ve read two articles that say the finale airs November 15 (14th technically), so I think we are skipping the week of Halloween. The article said next week would be the skip but the Apple app details for episode 5 contradicts that.

I haven’t watched past them leaving the bar in 3rd episode, but she is pure seduction in this. The way she emphasizes certain words and how the camera cuts to her hand movements as she asked about what he would do to Kylie. It was hot without really doing or showing anything.

I think a lot of filmmaking has gotten lazy with seduction and just quickly jumps to a sex scene or right into nudity. This has been well done.

I still don’t like the narrator and how it’s sounds like it’s on a secondary director commentary track.

This is my only real complaint. The male narrator isn’t too bad, but the female narration sounds like a mother reading her child a bedtime story.

A couple of times I almost didn’t even realize she was narrating and thought I was hearing someone else’s tv in background. I only realized when I noticed words were matching the subtitles/cc on the screen.

I agree the male narration isn’t the problem. The male so far (just have watched part of the 3rd episode) is actually voiced by Kevin Kline giving his own character’s internal thoughts while the female is voiced by the sand snake queen or whatever she was in Game of Thrones.

I think the weirdness of the female narrator is a device. I think she may be an unreliable narrator. Not sure though.

Actress is a smokeshow! Everything about her is sexy. Hard to believe Private Pyle is her dad.

Wow. I had to look that up. She actually is a D’onofrio and just kept first and middle for screen name or whatever it’s called.

She definitely takes after her mom, Greta Scacchi, more than her dad.

I just finished watching episode 4, and I am starting to agree there is something with the different narrators and styles and not having a narrator for young Catherine scenes.

Kevin Klines could definitely be unreliable since it’s the character. I have may have been a little too mesmerized by young Catherine talking auras, doing stuff to Kylie, hard nipples, don’t put finger in just a little pressure going in both directions, riding his face, and telling him he tasted like her to ever hear or care about narration, but I don’t remember any narration in those scenes. It made me wonder if the scenes in Italy at the beach are following the story in the book as surely the female narrator would have something to say about Catherine’s thoughts and feelings during all that (especially the pressure by the finger or really the death) unless it’s from the book with some of story following what parents were told, some what was deduced by pictures, some from the mom meeting her and anything else she may have learned, and some maybe a little dramatized and/or fictionalized by the dad and his anger.

Apple is more likely to buy the Disney content collection than fold AppleTV+

My wife had it on a few nights ago and it was shot in that shitty digital camera way where everything was in focus.

I may be old man'ing this but frick that to hell.

That works for like a CGI comic book movie, but no serious cinema/film should be shot that way.

DailyWire has great content, but it comes out slow. Part of the reason I subscribe to that is because I want more conservative entertainment. AppleTV has no such thing going for it

Dumber and likely fatter than I’ve given you credit for.
