Director André Øvredal has publicly called this the scariest film he has ever made.

I saw that listed in this upcoming horror movie compilation. There’s some decent stuff coming up.

I like Øvredal and pretty sure I’ve liked every movie I’ve seen from him. But pretty sure all his movies are box office disappointments. And I remember hearing something yesterday that was him talking about how he didn’t want to just direct horror movies lol

I admittedly haven't seen Umma, but this isn't a high bar, and I love Trollhunter and thought the Autopsy of Jane Doe was adequate.

How would he say anything else about his movie that he is promoting?

I also liked Last Voyage of the Demeter

I think that's the Monday secret movie. It's either that or Backrooms

It's pronounced Zero-vredal, I guess.

It was fine but not scary

It was not enough for a full movie. Would have been better as a short in an anthology.

I bet it's not scarier than Autopsy of Jane Doe...

I've only seen Trollhunter, Jane Doe, and the Demeter. I enjoyed all three. But Trollhunter is awesome though.
None are particularly "scary" though (with Jane Doe being the closest to a true horror film of the three I listed).
