Makes sense, didn’t realize he was patrolling the park, always thought he responded to an alarm being tripped after dispatch contacted him?

I THINK he was doing the rounds, John McClaine saw him, set the fire alarm off, he came back around, talked to the 'fake' guard, and started to leave. That's when John stepped things up.

I don’t think he was on patrol. He was on his way home from said desk job and just happened to be the closest officer to Nakatomi to do a drive by inspection when dispatch requested it.
