When Ryan got arrested for falsely propping up dunder mifflin infinity’s numbers, Jim seemed to know before anyone else....
Seems like something Jim would do.

Was this after Pam got pregnant and became a major bitch? If so, I'll allow it. You could tell Jim was dead inside by this point.

Dunder mifflin had a huge internal control deficiency booking the same revenue transactions twice.

Jim’s whistle blowing was a courtesy to the stockholders and public.

If he did, I'll allow it because... well... Ryan. Dude was an a-hole.

I wish him being brought down by someone in Scranton would’ve been the storyline. That would have made his comeback to the branch even better. I personally think Kelly doing it could have been great.

Also, Ryan deserved it. And if Jim didn’t, he should have.

i know Jim went through his a-hole periods, but Ryan was a dick all the way through. his final moment was leaving his child to run off with Kelly so he was terrible all around.

plus inflating the number on the website was going to screw everybody.

I'd hope every single person in that office would say something. Ryan was completely in the wrong, and just basic ethics say the employees should blow the whistle.

A lot of Ryan's missteps were stuff that I'd seen in real life...

Managers propping up sales figures - Usually it's taking sales from traditional avenues and moving them to the new platform that they're trying to push. I've never seen someone put the money in both categories like Ryan did, but I've seen guys try and disguise a failed sales initiative by moving money around.

WHUPF.com - People don't want your boring company app that duplicates what successful apps are already doing.

Pedophiles in the chatroom - Ryan trying to "create a community" on their website. Seen this so many times. Companies thought that people would want to hang out on their corporate websites.

The thing is Ryan's initiative to update the website and promote more sales online was a good idea. If he didn't go overboard by duplicating the sales, his idea should have been well received at corporate.

Ryan didn’t act alone. He was just the fall guy for corporate. Dunder Mifflin Scranton was never a profitable branch, it was a place that corporate used to cover their financial fraud with Kevin’s “Keleven” accounting. It was lead by Michael Scott, who would never catch on, and if he did, he was too much of a company man to speak up.

Oscar figured it out very early on, but his silence was bought, which explains him staying with the company after Michael outed him, and his reluctance to confront the board at the shareholders meeting. Eventually the wrong person caught on, and Ryan took the fall for what I would imagine was a very large secret payment. This would also explain why David Wallace didn’t immediately fire him when Michael hired him back.

I'm still confused on how a regional mid-sized paper company can afford to rent office space in a Manhattan skyscraper and be so top heavy with management?

That wasn't his child I don't believe.

And Jim didn't rat Ryan out. He was just as surprised about it as everyone else and even had to go back and leave Ryan another voicemail discounting his first because Ryan was busted.

That voicemail seemed like lip service to cover his tracks. He conveniently found the YouTube video and had a look of guilt on his face when he was showing it to the office

Ryan returns in "Finale" to attend Dwight and Angela's wedding. Sitting next to Kelly and Ravi, it is revealed that he has had an infant son named Drake with a former girlfriend who abandoned them. Kelly and Ryan make flirtatious glances before Ryan gives a strawberry to his son, who has an allergic reaction, prompting Ravi to tend to Drake. Ryan tells Kelly that he gave Drake an allergic reaction to talk to her. The two quickly make out and say they want to start a new life with one another. Ryan and Kelly then run away from the wedding together. Having tended to Drake, Ravi sees that the pair are gone and Kevin informs him as to what happened. Ravi tells Kevin to call social services, insisting that they will find a more suitable father.

That reminds me that he gave his son an allergic reaction as well.

This was in response to the hypothetical of did Jim snitch. He was a terrible person anyways.

frick Ryan. That prick was constantly trying to manipulate everyone in that building for his own shady business dealings.

And he was just as shitty a person in episode one as he was in episode last.

The Scranton branch was ethically retarded. They had an entire episode about it

I think Kevin being the whistle blower on accident would have been ideal.
