It’s almost hilariously bad at this point, but for some reason I find myself continuing to watch it. I’m not at a “hate watch” place yet, but it’s just not very good and super unbelievable.

Not only does something super awful happen every ten minutes, but the side plots are all over the place and often make no sense.

And the most offensive part of the show is how they keep making Hannah Wells (Maggie Q) luckier than a leprechaun and more powerful than Superman. She waltzes into every situation like Billy Badass and slaps around dudes like it’s nothing. Oh, she’s surrounded by two armed military soldiers? No big deal, she just swiftly disarms them and knocks them both out with her frail arms and steals their weapons. Then she gets caught again and not only does she not get shot, but she talks shite about it and acts like she is invincible. She outsmarts every single situation with ease. Looking for evidence? She just opens the door of a building/bunker/etc. and finds the crucial evidence in about 30 seconds.

I thought 24 had a problem with too many awful things happening constantly (and I loved 24), but this show puts it to shame.

Just wondering if anybody else is still watching this hilarious piece of shite.

Yes, but I don't know why.

I watched the first few seasons and it had its moments. Watched the first episode of this season and saw it was getting worse with the stuff I didn’t like and abandoning the story lines I liked. My DVR still recording, but I’ve essentially given up for the same reasons you mentioned.

I stopped when, while trying to rebuild the government, they decided school band instruments were a priority.

I'm still enjoying it...some of the tangents are ridiculous. Lyor is annoying. But, I do like the deeper plot points like the hacker this season. It's mindless fun for an hour a week. I'll keep watching.

I actually like Lyor. Him being annoying is making the show less bland IMO.

I'm still watching it just because it's Jack Bauer dammit.

I watched the first season, and the first three episodes or so of the second, and just lost interest. Like you said, story line was just all over the damn place.

This would have been an awesome movie or mini-series. I stopped after episode 5 or 6.

Couldn't even get through first season. The tone of the show was a huge problem for me. Couldn't decide if it wanted to be political drama or spy thriller. It should've just been a netflix miniseries about what would happen if the entire government was wiped out.

24 solved the problem by Jack killing whoever caused the problem 5 minutes after it happens. Jack can't do that in this show.

I used to watch it a lot and the thing that really made me stop was just how much they really go out of their way to make the President a real saint and the biggest goody two shoes in the history of american politics. It's incredibly unrealistic to think of the President of the United States as something so pure like that.

I wish the president was more of a hardass. I'm not asking for something ridiculously crass like LBJ or Trump but jesus toughen him the frick up and put some humor in him.

I am though I don't know why, just hate watching at this point

The list of issues with this show is too long to type out but it had sort of figured out what it was ("hit its stride" is too strong a phrase) before the winter break hit then they go with this retarded arse First Lady storyline and it has been pretty terrible ever since

Let me get this straight, the motorcade of the First Lady of the United States of America is jeapordized simply bc some random driver was not paying attention and texted through a red light? Then, if that wasn't enough, of course the way we are gonna tell the President his wife is dead is through a impromptu phone call while he is in a completely public place. I mean Coke the frick on

The how is obviously trying as hard as it can to be the west wing but it doesn't have the writing to make the otherwise mundane/boring issues of politics exciting so they are basically just pulling every fantastical stunt they can to keep the show going

I posted ITT before I read it that way my thoughts weren't influenced by others; now that I have read it this seems to be a common thought

I believe the writers are Coking the frick on. Only way to explain it.

In the latest episode (spoiler warning), who didn’t know the mayor would become VP the second she was shown?
