I enjoyed it. I mean, it's the kind of show I'll either forget about or mentally converge it into Sherlock or a Coben series show, but it's a decent watch

Wasn’t sure where they were going to take his character but I’m a fan.

And Mathew Goode could have been Doctor Who, or possibly a villain.

Not going to lie I enjoyed the curly red head chick too. Figured they would girl power her up but they haven't.

Even I agree.

Though I still can’t stand the bozo hairstyle.

Last few episodes left. Just trying to drag it out...

I always thought that the Germans were the sexually twisted folk in Europe, along with the French. But damn, the English … absolute freaks!

Really enjoyed it. Akram was the best character. I would like to get more on his back story.

Finished the series. Generally like the show and what they were trying to do with it, but the last episode wrapped up a bit too neat. I wish they'd had used Rose more and worked in a better way to connect the various moving parts. It just seemed kinda lazy. A real missed opportunity. Maybe they were rushed, I don't know.

And also, to be honest, I didn't care for the motivation for the basic plot of the story. To go through all that effort for Merritt? I guess her 'crime' was that Harry was going to go away with her?

And I really didn't care for the choices of teen actors being used so much. None of them looked like their older versions. Especially Lyle. (And that use of the same actor for 2 people... that seemed clumsy writing posing as 3 - D Chess, but whatever)

It's still got the works for a good show.

The only way season 2 will suck is if they focus on Akram and make the whole thing about native on immigrant violence. If they can keep the politics out of it like they did for 95% of season 1, it'll be great.

lyle is impersonating sam haig. it's not the same actor for 2 people, it's just lyle the whole time.

He’s listed as both. It’s weird & confusing that Merrritt wouldn’t recognize Lyle.

Enjoyed the series very much overall but I told Mrs. Iwy this as well. They went through an awful lot of crap and work, just to try and get her to guess the name of the person she wronged I mean legit full time job for two people for years. Every part of it, including the set up, was extremely unrealistic.

It's been a month or two since I finished it but Lyle was just posing as Sam Haig, you weren't actually seeing two different people. That was kind of the twist. I guess they maybe showed the real Sam Haig when he was killed on the mountain but I can't remember too well.

Its based on a book series I think from Denmark, and they made a series of Danish movies that were successful over there.

They obviously changed it to be scottish for the show

Its new cases each book/movie/season

Sam & Lyle looked strikingly similar. They could have been related. Which is weird because young Lyle had very unique facial features.

Here I was expecting some Usual Suspects type of big twist & reveal but what we got was… meh. Kinda retarded.

Still have hope for better cases in the future.

(Also, did DCI Morck not recognize Merritt as they passed at the elevator? That was weird.)

Yes, I took it that he did. He was just displaying a little humility, not looking to get thanks/not wanting to make a big deal out of it. She wouldn't have known what he looked like though.

Yes he did, he was just not looking for any attention. You could tell when Moira looked at him also. Merritt would not have known who he was.

No, although there is a token gay cop in a couple of episodes.

The woman playing the prosecutor is very good (and looks good naked).

She's skin and bones and looks manly.

Finished this, I thought it was great. Looking forward to a next season, plenty of unresolved stuff to address. Scottish people apparently cuss a lot.
