Well, I applaud you and I would not recommend anyone doing what Quaid did to anyone anywhere.
BUT . . .
What he was doing was kind of the most important thing going on at the moment considering the context and it probably is appropriate for people to shut up and stop moving around.
That looked like some pent up frustration. Director should have been the one to enforce "Quiet on the Set!" and not Quaid.
Quaid is telling the Director to do his job.

No, there are other semi-old people on this board from that era who remember when he was in town.
He was also picking up chicks at that multi-level disco club on the river in Catfish Town.

Working is a neonatal care unit is stressful. Voicing words for millions of dollars, not so much.
