I watched and thought it was a whole bunch of meh. Some funny bits but not appointment viewing. It was about the same level of funny as Kimmel or Fallon

Why are y’all so afraid of political humor? If I find a comedian to be funny, I will listen to anything they want to riff on. Y’all sound...tRiGeRReD!!!1!

1) It's basically a fart joke. It's just lazy, zero effort that generally appeals to the lowest in the masses.

2) At this point there's simply nothing new or fresh regarding "political humor". It all boils down to "trump bad! Did you see this tweet? LMAO!!" There's no thought or effort in crafting a joke, it's simply pointing at the president and rehashing jokes that have been said 100 times already

where can someone find this mainstream political "humor" directed at Democrats/liberals? It gets old because it's all one sided. It would seem to be old even if a person didn't like Trump.

I was wondering when this started. I need to remember to set my DVR...I wanted to check this out. I've always liked Spade.

You could have just said "I don't like it when they make fun of President Trump".

It's out there. Unfortunately none of it is funny.

Most comedy aimed at Liberals and Democrats come off as corny in which the joke is painfully telegraphed and the punchline can be seen a mile away.

I don't like it when comedians have no material but think they're funny anyway.

I don't give the slightest shite about politics, never have actually. I couldn't care less about trump, or obama, or any other political figure that would be the butt of a joke. The point is that the jokes aren't original, witty, or funny in any way. Call me crazy but humor should be, ya know..humorous.

I'm not when it's funny. When is just personal and non stop bashing it gets old.

I think he leans a little right, but yeah, I know we're all sick of the politics bs.

But yeah, the other side is fairly rare, but much funnier, since they don't have to go down the increasingly long list of people they are afraid to offend.

I love political humor, but point me to anyone doing any funny political bits now

These days the priority is 1) Make a political argument 2) see if we can make it funny

Humor is very, very secondary to getting the messaging out there.

The Democrats are a clownshow right now but all you'll get is some low level Marianne Williamson stuff or maybe a friendly jab at Bernie. It's just insane how much potential material the entertainment community leaves on the table because they put shitty, often uninformed and amateuristic political leanings above their professional craft.

Because it's used to pander some and trigger others, that's pretty much the extent of it. If political humor is done well, then I like it, but typically it's just lazy.

Political humor was at it's best on snl during the Bush/Gore election. They both were just played dumbasses and constantly made fun of themselves. There were never any comments made to make half the audience clap and have the audience rage.

The social media era has dumbed down everything to the point of it being an argument that enrages both people. Huge generalization followed by "This is Why you're an idiot" combated by an insult. That's 2019 discourse and it has spread to all forms of media
