Just read an article about this movie where Pitt said that he read the script to the end and had him tearing up/crying. I'm hoping the dog lives. If anything, Pitt's character dying and the dog staying with him until both are found would be a good ending. IMO.

Just got home and it was pretty good not great. Good story and good ending. Had some bad CGI animals scenes but the scenery and the story overcame it. Brad did a good job and so did the pup. It was 6.5 or 7 out of 10 for myself and wife said the same.

We just got out and me and the missus were holding back tears the whole last 30 minutes of the movie

Good movie, scenery was amazing. I was fighting it big time at the end.

The dog in the film is a Malinois. And yes. The entire theater will be sniffling the last act of the film.
Strangely, though, I felt The Dog Stars was a better film, With a terrible title, and very similar, yet different themes/settings. Brolin was also better in it tna anyone else in either film.
Lots of things in the Pitt film that a 30+ yr CSM Green Beret simply would not do, too, but then you so dont have a film.

I have 3 Germans, one Czech sable, sable and bi-color. That pup is clearly not a malinois

I saw it last night. It’s a really good movie and perfect for a date night, or for a solo watch. If you’re a vet, it’s gonna especially hit you in the feels.

Saw it last night. Tough watch at the end. Some things seemed a little far-fetched but overall great movie.
I was surprised no one else was there with the wife and I. For a Brad Pitt movie it seemed there should be more buzz and attendance.
