new “Daredevil” series is moving forward at Disney+, with Variety having exclusively learned from sources that Matt Corman and Chris Ord are attached to write and executive produce.

Rumors have persisted for some time that a Disney+ series about the Man Without Fear was in the works, especially considering that two of the stars of the Netflix “Daredevil” series — Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio — have appeared in recent Marvel projects. Cox played Matt Murdock, the secret identity of Daredevil, in the film “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” while D’Onofrio reprised the role of Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. Kingpin, in the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.”

It now appears that the project is picking up steam with the hiring of Corman and Ord, although Marvel has yet to announce anything regarding the show formally.

i wonder if it'll be a different multiverse version. we've already seen that there are common occurrences between the different multiverses, i.e. Thanos. i wonder if the Netflix Daredevil will be a different "variant" from the SM:NWH "variant" (which would be a "reboot"). or if they're the same (a continuation of the Netflix story/timeline). time will tell.

Should have kept Goddard. The team that brought us "deck the halls" + Disney doesn't give me a lot of confidence this will be a step up in the series.

Am I the only one not happy about this?

They are going to destroy it. Like they do everything else.

I'm indifferent. It's likely not a continuation of the netflix show. So we'll always have that.

I mentioned it in my post. The Netflix series could be a multiverse that’s not 616.

Would literally be the dumbest move marvel could make. These characters have real history and weight to them, and the series is on Disney+ now. 99% chance it's a continuation of the series.

They are certainly a different variant from the Netflix series

Being fat and knowing comics have a strong correlation, but we can’t apply any causation to that.

The problem is that it is Disney+. They’ve destroyed everything they’ve touched so far, so the odds are they will ruin what is one of the greatest television series in history.

??? Disney+ SERIES have been solid. The Mandalorian has been the best Star Wars since Empire Strikes Back. Moon Knight and Loki were great.

Movies, yeah... they're on shaky ground. But the series are golden. And now they've dropped the PG mandate, so they don't have to make everything so soft and cute.

Loki
WandaVison
Moon Knight
Hawkeye

All good to great additions to MCU lore
