Dante's Peak (1997) is a highly re-watchable and enjoyable movie

You have the destruction of the second most desirable place to live, population under 20,000:
90s Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton:
A solid no-name supporting cast:
and the acid lake:
and the indestructible dog:
Dante's Peak will always be one of my most favorite movies.

Great movie. I was cheering like hell for the dog.

About a month or so ago, this movie seemed to be on almost every day when I sat down to eat my lunch in our kitchen at work. Definitely not a bad flick for entertainment during lunch

Dante's Peak and Volcano are both highly rewatchable.

It was mandatory for mid-90's disaster movies to have a dog esacpe peril.

They had to give you someone to root for, because no one cared about all the humans who were dying.

Oh, I get it.
I can breeze through watching hundreds of people buy it in a movie, but I doubt I'll ever watch the puppy murder in John Wick ever again.

At the time I thought Volcano was the better movie but over the years I've been able to sit through all of Dante's Peak far more. Because of that I declare it to be the GOAT 90s volcano movie.
1. Dante's Peak
2. Volcano
3. Joe vs the Volcano

She was actually trying to save her grandkids and company. They were in a boat and she got out and dragged it to shore before it melted.

I saw this for the first time last year. It was pretty good. I was surprised.

Pre cut Linda Hamilton before Terminator.
She was sexy as hell back then.
