D&D apparently bailed on attending Comic Con

r/freefolk was planning to show up and boo, but it appears the 2 Daves won’t be making an appearance.

Figured, but I’m curious why Ser Too Fat to Write a Book is attending. Fans are even more vicious towards him.

Maybe they simply forgot about the event, like when Daeny forgot about a massive navy.

They know they're fricked. They'll stay in their Hollywood/Emmy bubble for the next decade because it will be vicious for them otherwise.

I hate the way the show ended just as much as everyone else, but showing up to an event en masse just to boo someone who made creative decisions that you don’t like is so stupid and immature.
If they really wanted to stick it to D&D, just show up like everyone else and hope you can lob them a question about why they chose to rush an ending that completely shat on the lore of the rest of the show.
A civil interaction in a public forum that puts their mind in a pretzel would’ve been so much more effective than booing them.
Of course, if I ever see Rian Johnson in person, I’d probably boo him too, so I guess I’m a hypocrite.

I understand doing that to the Pizza Crawler, who has been nothing but an a-hole to his fans. In Santa Fe next week, and I hope I see that fat tub of shite.

Dumb and Dumber kind of forgot about Comic Con because they’re both pussies who won’t own up to how S8 was a steaming pile of dog crap.

What? I thought he's always been generally interested in interacting with fans. He's one of the original comicon nerds himself.
So of course he's going. Plus, you know he loves that hot nerd chach

Lots of people share your opinion.
Lots of counts.

Most of us still like him.

Probably the best modern episode of Family Guy for me.

GoT is sorta like the LSU 2011 football season, but maybe more like if the QB controversy would have occurred late in the season.
Got EVERYONE hooked on just how fantastic it was, what a clearly once-in-a-lifetime event you were watching, and just crashed at the end.
Side note- I've determined that I hate the spoilers even more than the writers. Like everybody else, I was trying not to look, but at the same time was so excited that I couldn't help peeking. The ending moves were terrible, but hearing about them ahead of time was worse. It wasn't even shocking or surprising, just infuriating at that point. --I guess, this is proof that you can't put a twist into endings anymore, as it WILL leak ahead of time and ruin everything. And a ruined twist is far more disappointing (and destroys rewatches) than a "boring, safe" ending (i.e. Jon kills the Night King, some sort of peaceful resolution to the Jon/Dany conflict over the throne, a just and deserving ruler at the end, etc).

Yeah,
While Les kinda forgot about Alabama and Saban’s forces, they certainly haven’t forgotten about him.

Meh.
It’d be totally different if he didn’t restrict writing to just his home and if he hadn’t of churned out a ton of novellas, short stories, anthologies, cookbooks, etc. tied to the same universe.
He’s either written himself into a corner and is too stubborn to ask for outside help or he doesn’t give a shite anymore and is milking the fan base for all it’s worth.
I have no sympathy for the shite GRRM gets.
