yep, even the guys who walk the stars dogs get credit too
you got to love how they run credits at 35 mph across the screen so fast, sometimes i want to see who the girl was in the movie yet no human being could possibly read it that fast

With Atlanta replacing Hollywood, I read credits to see family and friends who worked projects.
I don't expect anyone else to, but there is a moment of pride in seeing their names on there.
Fwiw, their hours suck. When they sign on, they are indentured servants. A ridiculous sprint to the finish of their work consumes all of their time. They get paid a ridiculous sum of money for the inconvenience. But then the next project demands their attention. There is a lot of burnout.

I wouldn't even wait for the credits to see my own name (I have friends with union jobs in the industry, I've never waited to see their names) but to each his own

quote:frick the theaters that do that. We watch credits because we're film buffs and you'll occasionally see some interesting stuff in there. And to the people that talk over the trailers, or stay during the credits to stand and have a conversation, frick them too. Props to this guy's son for not having the attention span of a flea.
I'm afraid to ask, but why does your son watch credits at the end of movies? Theaters literally turn the lights on when credits roll because they want you to leave.

I've never known a single person that stays to watch credits minus the MCU/DC post credit scenes (and props to the theaters that edit out the credits to just show the scene)
Also, most of the credits are on imdb

I worked in theaters in the early 2000's.. 99.9% of people leave when the credits begin.. I think maybe once somebody was still in the theater when the credits ended and they had gotten up to go to the restroom and went back to their seat for some reason.. why am I having an argument over the merits of staying to watch credits.. ffs
and again, IMDB

If you’re really that into credit rolls you can watch Netflix and see them in about 6 different languages

As someone who works in the film industry, anyone who worked on a production, no matter how small their job, deserves to see their name in the credits
It’s a trip the first time you see your name fly by on the big screen

Now movie credits are too woke

There is nothing new about most of the titles in your list.

I can remember having to set thru credits BEFORE a film.

Yeah but like someone said earlier all the production co clips have just taken their place. There’s a Family Guy cutaway that makes fun of them where Peter keeps thinking the movie’s starting but they just keep coming.

Those aren't actual credits, they are production logos for people/firms that paid for the film.
The reason they didn't appear year ago is because studios basically solely financed most of their projects. Now, they have to pool resources of multiple production companies to get these films made.

Then watch documentaries or small indies ….. a project of scale has the support to match.
And it seems like according to this thread that 99% don’t watch them so what does it matter.
People in the industry and film nerds certainly do …. And it makes the most difference to a PA or assistant so let them enjoy it.

I have always stated to watch the credits. Frankly, it was more about listening to the film score, but I still read along the way.

Assistant “to the” regional manager never gets credit.
