Okay, on a serious note I'm not defending TLJ. Even if I did like it, I'm not saying anyone is wrong or incorrect for disliking it. But the way people are going about judging audience scores and everything else to justify that it's a "bad film," or a failure is just silly. Honestly, I've appreciated the points that you, and several others like Breesus and OMLandshark have put out to discuss your dislike for the film. That's something I can get behind.

According to the audience, Transformers sucked less. The studio knows that the audience pays the bills, not the critics. The critics get the butts in the seats opening weekend but that sh*t won’t help them next time.

The original discussion thread was a telling tale of the state of affairs of the USA. The criticism was, imho, specific and warranted. Plot holes, bad story telling seemingly only to make statements, bastardizing canon characters in such a way that you question if the director has ever even seen the original trilogy were all warranted comments.
The responses were filled with cheap shots, let it go, sarcasm, and claims of racism/sexism along with the complete refusal to look at the film in a different way.
