re: Community going to Netflix April 1st

I'm a little bit into season 4 and have a thought about Pierce. First of all he clearly sucks and is one of, if not the, worst characters on the show. Just awful. But I saw it on here and other places that he starts out okay before devolving into being just completely off the rails terrible, almost evil even. I strongly disagree though and think it's actually the opposite, he starts out 10/10 awful but evolves (as a person, not necessarily a comedic character) to only be like 8/10 awful.

Let's note that the dungeon and dragons episode is clearly the low point. Bar none. But aside from that when you look at his timeline he essentially starts as a one note character (racist and homophobic) with no other redeeming qualities. But as of now in early season 4 there is some undeniable growth.

-in the 2 part paintball episode he single handedly wins so greendale can win the money
-despite previously hating gays, he gives in and throws a big gay bash when he finds out they're big fans of his
-he allows his half brother to win and keep their fathers inheritance since it meant more to him
-he is accepting of his black brother, and even allows him to be his roommate when he learns he needs a place to stay
-he desires to and does have some one on one convos with Jeff about their dad issues so they both can heal
-he calls in a personal favor to get Sophie b Hawkins to play the dance so Britta doesn't look like a fool in front of everyone


Does he suck? Yes, and I wouldn't care if he wasn't ever on the show at all. But I do think he has matured personally a bit, rather than starting normal and then going all downhill

its supposed to be colorado but the setting never really mattered so i never really cared about how they dont seem to play into it

I watched Fargo season 1 and it was entirely commercial free. Other than that I have only watched some Marvel movies and the What We Do In the Shadows movie that were just as they are shown in the theaters - also with no commercials.
