They really make Pierce go full a-hole heel in the D&D episode. You can tell how much Harmon hated his guts.

Yep I pointed that out earlier. That was the episode they just decided to drop all pretense and simply make Pierce the villain from there

He’s just kind of an awkward background character from then on for the most part.

They had a perfect opportunity to drop him in season 2 and even seemed like they were writing him out of the show but brought him back for some reason

I know Season 4 is known as the gas leak season, but I think the biggest issue during the shows run was the end of season 3 with the Chang running the school storyline. It got weirdly dark and weird

Season 3 is great, but the whole Chang story line leading up to the Chang army could be scrapped and it would be better.

Actually it was the episode where he pulled Shirley's pants down. Then Abed pointed out that the group needs him or someone else would be the new Pierce.
