A lot is made of Cruise's height but he's a badass in these things. The scene where Jamie Foxx is getting mugged, Cruise slowly comes up on the guys with "yo homie", hands in the air, then quickdraws and double taps both of them perfectly in a literal second. Then he just calmly picks up Jamie's wallet and tosses it in his lap

One of the best movies of the 2000s.

Great, great movie.

Hot take....I like Collateral more than Heat.

That "Yo, Homie, Is that my briefcase?" scene should get a special Oscar for being so satisfying.

It’s one of those I’ve seen 100 times and will still watch again.

Definitely underrated. TC gets a ton of hate but he is one hell of an actor

The scene in the jazz club was excellent.

Top 5 movie for me. Just so much to analyze and increasingly rare auteur film making for this day and age

Thought I'd come back to this thread with a pretty cool video that popped up after I watched the "Yo Homie" scene showing Cruise's training

The scene with them stopping for the coyotes to run across the road really sticks with me for some reason.

You and I make it out of this alive, you should call her.

See, I've thought Cruise was a great actor ever since I saw Rain Man. For me, this movie showed that Jamie Fox might be a good actor.

It's good. Has to be one of the few movies where Cruise is a villain.

I like The Transporter as much as I like Collateral. Would be interesting to have a crossover movie with these two characters.

He actually meant that Statham was the literal transporter, or courier, for the kill list Cruise was working off of.

Tom Cruise plays a psychopath killer way too easily.

He has some dialogue in this movie, but I feel like he cultivates a lot with his physical acting. How deliberately he moves, how he carries himself, it all adds in.

I haven't watched Heat enough times to make that judgement, but I'm pretty obsessed with Collateral.

It really is a great setting. If you haven't already, you need to check out the Amazon series Bosch.

always just thought of him as the pretty boy with ok acting chops, but this is the movie where I started taking him a little more serious.

Really? He had a host of great performances before that. Didn’t he have several Oscar nominations prior to this movie?
