Yeah I had that haircut in the 90’s in 7th grade

Some say he looks like Shawn from Boy Meets World. It’s just the hair

90’s are the best

Though there are some retcons that have to happen.

Team Diaz all the way. I hate the writers tried to turn him into a villain at the end. I got they were trying to show him as the new Johnny but it didn't work with his story arc.

Robbie is such a punk. I don't trust anything he says or does.

I thought they did a good job with casting Miguel and Eli/Hawk. The actor that played Demitri was a bust though. His part was supposed to add some comedy to the show but you end up just hoping he gets punched the face every episode.

I loved the series and cant wait till the get to season 2. The only nit picky thing for me is the puniness of the participates. Take for example Hawk.. The 80's would get full grown men to play 16-18 year olds. I get he's part of the down trodden crew but they couldve easily gotten someone more physically imposing. His weakness was the "lip" not necessarily his physic. Hes supposed to be Dutch for christs sake.

I agree. 80's Cobra Kai would've destroyed these guys.

jonathan brandis was a staple in 90's cinema. The Never ending Story 2, Sidekicks, Lady Bugs, Sea Quest.

Too bad he hung himself.

He was for sure not Dutch even though he was throwing Milk Duds in the movie scene like Johnny said Dutch did until he missed and hit the brother.

The case that Johnny should have made before the All Valley board is the Cobra Kai of 2018 is made up exclusively of Daniel Larussos.

(referring to Miyagi's surprise attack on Halloween)

Now that Kreese is back, I'm sure he brought the juice 'n needles with him.

Kreese: "You (brandishing needle at little guy with
glasses)...will not fail this dojo again."

Miguel: (Eying the syringe nervously): "But...you know
it comes in an oral form...now? (a desperate
glance at Johnny) ...Right?"

Kreese and Johnny in unison:
"QUIET!!"
"Oral is for pussies!!"

Mrs Vox's theory was that Kreese takes CK dojo back from Johnny an Johnny and Daniel have to bury the hatchet and team up as Miyagi-do.

My theory is that Johnny sees huge success in recruiting students after the tournament win, but Kreese owns the name "Cobra Kai" so Johnny has to let him pull strings to avoid being sued.

For all of Johnny'sredemption, he still has the tragic flaw of the "no mercy" attitude ingrained in him by Kreese. That, combined with Kreese's new control over him will be the fight of Johnny's life.

Clearly, Daniel's kid is a breakdance-fighting super warrior woman. That will play out and I expect her to be an independent factor in a future tournament (or she'll fight for Cobra Kai if they really want my dick to explode), fighting both dudes.

But whatever end they come to, and this is crucial, they must keep "You're the Best Around" in their pockets like a trump card, releasing it only at the climactic moment of the series. That would be the perfect crescendo to what hopefully will continue to be an orchestra of sweet 80's cheesy greatness.

This makes sense, because I noticed Will Smith was one of the big producers for this first season.

Well that pretty much ruins it then. frick him and his loony little dumbass kid.

Saw Will Smith, and what I assume is Jada's brother as Exec. Producers.

Did anybody else catch the reference Johnny made to Mr. Miyagi kicking all of their asses that night? "I think he gave my friend Tommy brain damage."

Speaking of Dutch, was Daniel the one who defeated him? I don't remember them fighting.

He is the fourth Cobra Kai member to be defeated by Daniel during the tournament before facing Bobby in the semi-final round. It is rumored that a deleted scene exists of Dutch becoming angered by Daniel scoring a point on him, resulting in him tackling Daniel to the mat in a scuffle and being pulled away by tournament officials, leading to his disqualification. This would explain why it appeared that Daniel won their match after only scoring a single point.

Kinda wondered that as well since that win seemed anti-climatic after Dutch kinda punked little Danielle in the dressing room for not having his belt and had to be called off by the ref.
