I get the heebie jeebies everytime I see that loop slide. I love water slides but that shite is next-level terrifying.

Can't wait to watch this, I've gone down the Action Park wormhole more than once.

My wife is from NJ and went to that place, one night she mentioned the documentary and all her friends started telling stories from getting hurt at "traction park"

I grew up in Jersey, and could also share a couple stories about getting hurt there.

Even as a kid I was terrified of that thing, and didn’t trust it. Watching the trailer brings back some memories.

I grew up in the '80s, if me and my friends had known that this place existed, we would have made the short trip down from Upstate NY to taunt death.

Never heard of this place before watching the show, but it sure makes me appreciate being born in 81. Being 7 or 8 years old and being able to go a block away to a friends house and having that freedom of being a kid and doing whatever the hell you wanted, and your parents didnt care if you came back with brusies or a black eye. You're a kid. You're parents wanted you to do kids shite. That was part of growing up and becoming a person.

I would have loved to have gone to this place.

Watched tonight and I laughed my arse off until it got dark.

Watching through 2020 eyes, I couldn't get over there were zero black people.

I went there as late as the summer of '99. It was called something else, but it was still very edgy. The crowd was a bit scary.

The animated reenactments were ridiculous. There were several times I burst out laughing at something that was far from a laughing matter.

I wish I could have experienced Action Park, but I at least I can say I have been on an alpine slide a few times. Actually, the last time I went down one, one of my cousins went off the course and was injured pretty badly.

I grew up around the time that this would've existed. If I had lived close to it my friends and I would've gone all the time. The place actually looked awesome and dangerous at the same time.

Caught this over the weekend. I had no idea that the Johnny Knoxville movie Action Pointe was based on a real place. AP could've only existed in the 1980s, that's for sure.

The story of the unexplained scrapes on the Cannonball Loop test riders coming from teeth embedded in the foam padding from prior guinea pigs bashing their face against it as they come down from the top of the loop is absolutely terrifying.

This may be a stupid question, but can I watch this on HBO (or on demand on HBO), or is it only on HBO Max?
