I don't know why but I enjoyed Chris Farley's small role on Billy Madison more then his films on Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, and Beverly Hills Ninja.
His "That Veronica Vaughn is one piece of ace", I laugh everytime.

Farley was always better in small doses. His parts in Coneheads and Wayne's World were good too.

i forgot about about Wayne's world. Dammit why he had to die so young. He was just getting started with his movies and Adam Sandler would have had great roles for him in his movies.

That Veronica Vaughn is one hot piece of ace, I know from experience dude. If you know what I mean.

Billy Madison:
No, you don't.

Bus Driver:
Well, not me personally but a guy I know. Him and her GOT IT ON. WOOO-EEEE.

Billy Madison:
No they didn't.

Bus Driver:
No, No, they didn't. But you could imagine what it'd be like if they, eh, eh...

[Billy gets on the bus]

Bush Driver
Everybody on...good, great, grand, WONDERFUL. NO YELLING ON THE BUS!

Because of his character in Billy Madison, every time I eat a banana I think "Another treat for the road, the great grand banana." in Chris Farley's sarcastic voice.

Sorry, a tad off topic.

Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are classic comedies. It's kind of sad that most of Sandler's stuff after that were duds. It's almost like the trajectory of Family Guy.

More off topic, Adam Sandler and Chris Rock have a new Netflix movie coming out this week called The Week Of where they play the fathers of the bride and groom. Our bar on Sandler films has gotten pretty low, but the trailer looks good enough that I'll probably check it out. LINK

quote:

Directed by Robert Smigel, the comedy brings all your favorite funny people together (Sandler, Chris Rock, Steve Buscemi, and Rachel Dratch, to name a few) in the week leading up to their children’s wedding and sees more than a few things run amok in the process – the big day just can’t come soon enough. With a cast like this and such a fun premise, it’s bound to please Sandler fans and comedy lovers alike. So when does it start streaming on the platform?

The Week Of will debut on Netflix on Friday, April 27.

He was making good movies until he had kids where they were growing up and he wanted to make kid movies for them. After he went through his family kids faze he started making somewhat better films but not like his early stuff. Movies in general are not good like to used to be.

Chris Farley was also the original voice of "Shrek". Farley recorded the entire movie as Shrek, the director was still wavering on the character voice, and Mike Meyers read a few scenes in the Scottish voice his mom used to read to him as a child. The whole movie was recast with the Meyer's voice and the Farley version was never released.
