He had to.
Its the whole theme of the show. The circle of shite never ends. There's always a new Omar, a new Bubbles, etc.
I didn’t have issue with him going down. It was inevitable with the way he was living at that point.
But I thought it was cheap in who did it and where. It was one of the very few issues I had with the show. I’d much preferred it been Michael, Chris, Snoop, Hell even someone legitimately tied to someone he had killed up to that point.

For some reason I found beauty in the randomness. To each his own.

I consider that episode (with Omar’s testimony and Dee’s death) to be one of the most underrated episode of TV I’ve seen.
The episode where Dee dies, and the following one with his funeral, are as good of a back to back as any two eps of ANY show out there.

Ned Stark dieing in season 1. I remember telling myself at the time, “Why the frick would kill the main character in season1?!”
Come to find out that he definitely wasnt the main character and many more unprecedented deaths were to follow. But it still pisses me off.

I lost interest in Luke Cage after they killed off Cottonmouth. I watched the next episode or two and stopped watching.
I finished watching it, but my wife and I thought the same thing. Cottonmouth was working his way up to being one of the best Marvel villains.
Between Cottonmouth, Fisk, and Kilgrave, the Netflix series was looking pretty dang good for villains - especially when you consider how long it took for the MCU to get to a third good villain.

I knew about both beforehand, but Ned Stark dying still sucked because of Sean playing him so well.

Laurel Lance in Arrow. The show died for me that day and I haven't watched an episode of that show since
Honestly, you haven't missed much.

Ive never read the books so each episode is a complete mystery to me.

Shane
Shane was a great character. I know he ran his course but I would’ve liked to see him stay. I often agreed with how he wanted to deal with things in that situation...which was scary....and what made the show special in the beginning.
