Most of the time when you see celebrities or athletes visiting the children's cancer hospitals you think its something they have to do.

But this puts new perspective on these photos of him. He had skin in the game. He was very ill and didn't want everyone to know, but he knew what these children were going thru and despite his own battle sought to bring joy to others. RIP!!

Still cant believe it.
He filmed Black Panther and Infinity War while fighting stage III colon cancer, that takes some balls.

RIP, best wishes for his family and friends.

It's unbelievable he wrapped Infinity Wars two years ago and kept working.

I was on a project with him in Spring of 2019 .. not only did he have to travel 20+ hours to get there, but participated in some intense battle sequences shot in a valley in northern Thailand. Where it was Louisiana hot.

I remember watching him rehearse over and over a scene where he had to run through a valley floor from boulder to boulder avoiding gunfire ... in full wardrobe in the middle of the day. This went on for hours. I didn't notice anything really other than I distinctly recall his giant hands.

What a loss.

Definitely.

He had a lot of talent and seemed like someone people genuinely liked and respected.

His portrayal of Jackie Robinson was awesome, easy to see how he became an A lister after that. And he was still ascending.

I have a lot of respect for him being able and willing to keep that battle private. Takes a lot of strength and courage to do that.

The frick are you dipshits downvoting? Because I didn’t know who an actor was? The arrogance on this board is amusing

Have another well deserved downvote.

I found out from Doomcock, after the story broke. I was like What did he just say??

Just terrible.

I even hate to imagine, but I am wondering if the executives floated this idea of replacing him because they knew he was sick. What a freaking heartless way to do business, if true. ( And I don’t think for a second they wouldn’t either. ) perhaps they didn’t think he’d pass away at such a young age, but maybe they figured it was an opportunity because of his poor health to pull the trigger sooner than later.

Seems that they didn’t clear this idea with him, because he was vocally against it.

Teachable moment. Maybe a good idea would have been to take the time you spent posting on this thread to look him up. If you still don’t know who he is, then politely just move onto the next thread and say nothing.

But let's be honest, Black Panther sucked and was probably the worst Marvel movie out of them all

You really make it easy for them to hate us.

To be fair, you guys were fricking awful on this board to that film. The second it was announced that a black guy would lead an MCU movie you guys Trumped out so fast. You all make it really easy to hate you.

What the frick is up with the need to pop into a thread to declare that you have no knowledge of the subject at hand? Is this you thinking you're special or some shite?

I remember reading that Disney wanted to replace Chadwick with his sister for black panther. I wonder if Disney knew something about it.
