I wonder how many mob trust fund babies are running around the U.S these days.

The 30 for 30 on Boston College's point shaving scandal talks about the real life guys from Casino a good bit too. Especially Henry Hill. Henry Hill is in the 30 for 30 being interviewed as well.

Goodfellas, Neither Henry Hill or Ray Liotta are in Casino

I had an army buddy who was the son of one of the Traficante (Tampa) accountants. He said that virtually all the second and third generation mob kids in Florida went legit, owning jewelry stores, real estate investments, and the other legit businesses. Apparently, the old guys down there were smart enough to legitimize the family.

of course there are plenty of examples of people that started with nothing and made something of themselves that weren't, you know, criminals.

well you know when you make a movie about real life figures there is some creative license taken to make it a better movie. Without it you are just making a documentary.

Been youtubing videos. There is an AWKWARD but entertaining interview with Henry hill and a guy who worked for Spilotro. Hill is HAMMERED. Th other guy is better I front of the camera than the interviewer.
Both of them made the point of how the violence as downplayed and probably less than IRL for the audience. Which for Casino says a lot.

Little blonde headed girl though, so it must be distant.

The guy who had a heart attack and died when the feds raided his home didn't die. He went to jail, never ratted, got out and died years later. He was also the underboss of the Kansas city mob. Carl DeLuna

And I messed that up. It's Traficante for Tampa - the gal's name is Gina.

Holy shite, they got beat the frick up:

There was no evidence that either had been bound hand or foot, Dennis said, adding that he believes that both had been beaten ``with a fist or a gloved hand`` as well as kicked.
``It doesn`t appear that an instrument was used because of the lack of fractures,`` Dennis said.

Oh shite yeah, my bad. I love both those movies but I was way too tired earlier to remember what I was talking about. This semester is killing me.

Gambino or Genovese, if it's a New York family.

I can't recall. And not the girl or her mother, but the people who told them this may have been suspected of "full of shite-ness"?

That's not the daughter and she runs the Hayward Gallary in London. Google Stephanie Rosenthal
