Just got out. Thought it was entertaining as hell. Really enjoyable. Good bits of humor. Brie plays the role fine. Loved the 90s callbacks.

Just got out myself. Not really too great. I wouldn't pay to see it in theaters, Larsen is pretty bland like youd expect though.

Movies I’d definitely put it ahead of:

Iron Man 3
Hulk
Thor 2
Doctor Strange

Movies I’d definitely put it behind:

Avengers 1 and 3
Both GOTG
Iron Man
Winter Soldier

I probably won’t pay to watch it again, and I don’t see much of a rewatchability factor in it, but it is an enjoyable movie. If Charlize was a decade younger or if Nicole Kidman was 20 years younger they would have been great in this role.

I agree with this. I’d also put it behind Spider-Man: homecoming and Ragnarok. It’s also better than black Panther, Thor 1, Captain America 1.

Gonna disagree about it being better than Cap 1. Black Panther, well, yeah not touching that tonight. I’d put it on par with Thor 1.

Audience score currently at 63%

The are positive and negative reviews from people who have not seen the movie yet.

How can they do 90's retro without the fricking Cranberries?

Any songs post 95 wouldn’t have fit narratively. Honestly they should have picked mid to late 80s songs for the soundtrack and left the pop culture references in the 90s.

What's the licensing situation for Cranberries music look like right now with Delores passing away last year?

Where are you seeing an audience score? It says N/A on Rotten Tomatoes.

Just got home, it was way more enjoyable than I was expecting. As has been said in numerous reviews, Mendolson was fantastic, Jackson was great, the cat was great. I thought Larson did a good job, yes she was kinda bland and wooden early in the movie but I think the role called for that then, don't want to get into the why in this thread. As the movie went on she loosened up, I didn't find her to be a problem. Some good CGI, some bad CGI. No huge tie ins in the movie itself, just a few small things, but definitely stay for the first post credit scene.

ETA: for the people who care, there are no SJW moments and no over the top I am woman hear me roar moments either. If you have a problem with it then you must really want to have a problem with it.

I agree. Now, maybe she’s just a wooden actress. I don’t know. But it did fit the role.

I don't want to have a problem with it, so this is good to hear

Are there multiple post-credit scenes?
