I think Evans only leaves the role of Cap for a film or two max. He's gonna realize how much he misses it and get back in it.

He is Captain America now.

I think he has 6 films in his contract. Which would mean he has 3 left: Avengers: age of ultron, Cap 3, and presumably Avengers 3. I heard someone say they could see him sacrificing himself at the end of Avengers 3 and TWS takes over for phase 4. Seems plausible.

Technically:

1-Captain America: The First Avenger
2-The Avengers
3-Thor: The Dark World (Cameo)
4-Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I'm positive that the studio lawyers would make sure the contract was worded such that literally an 10 second appearance doesn't count before they went through with that.

Cameos don't count as "films" in the contract. If they did then Marvel would be as incompetent as DC/WB

Kevin Fiege (sp?) confirmed it was a "favor" and won't count as a film on his contract.

He recently said on a Marvel interview (with Stan along) that the appearance did not count.

Thought Captain America 1 was bad, but this movie was awesome.

This pretty much sums it up. Its cool to see Chris have so much success, he is a really good dude IRL!

He wants to direct. I could see Marvel dangling that apple in front of him in return for more appearances if they wanted.

They could make him a second unit director for non-Cap scenes in Avengers 3 in exchange for him to hang around.

If that counted, that would suck.

Finally saw this last night and loved it. I didn't care for CA 1, but this was awesome. Definitely one of the best comic book movies better than Avengers imo.

Maybe it's because I'm not a comics reader, but I don't get they DC-Marvel rivalry I wasn't really a fan of the crossover universe, but what Disney/Marvel have done is outstanding and brilliant.

ETA: After reading thru this thread. I also lol'ed at the "Path of the Righteous man..." on the head stone. It's awesome that the Fifth Element is included on the French list. And yes Scar Jo was smoking hot in this movie

Also finally saw this movie yesterday afternoon, really really good. One if not the best stand-alone movie in the MCU, definitely up there with the original Iron Man.

I watched this again today, and I have to ask: why did they try to take out Nick Furry, Captain America, and Black Widow before the launch? Why not wait for the launch and have the carriers take them out before they know what hit em?

Because it wasn't ready yet?

My guess that was Hydras intention but Fury got to sniffing around where they didn't want him this kicked off the events of the film.

Fury was asking questions and trying to delay the plan so they tried to take him out and then Cap and Black Widow started investigating after his "death"

Finally saw this in the theater today with my parents. They're in town and I got my mom (pops couldn't get into them all) completely cought up the past 2 weekends on every iron man, CA, Thor, and Avengers. Movie was great and cool part was my mom knew not to even move at the end of the 'movie'. We all really enjoyed it.

What a badass movie. The fight scenes kind of remind me of the Bourne series. Anyone else?
